Saturday's Critters # 593

Welcome to Saturday's Critters! Hello and Happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

A mish-mash of photos, birds and critters and our cute dog Miney.

Click on images for better viewing.

1. March 10th, I was happy to see a pair of Eastern Bluebirds visiting my bird houses.  I hope to see them raising their young this season.

2. March 11th, my morning walk with Miney on the fire road. The trail is closest to my house and there are views of the reservoir.

3. March 11th, I am still seeing the pair of Eastern Bluebirds coming and going to the birdhouses.

"Your bluebird of happiness is waiting for you."

4. March 12, I am sharing my yard birds , I had a nice variety of birds like the Northern Cardinal, the Mockingbird, a Pine Warbler , the Bluebird and the Titmouse.

5. March 12th, it was a warm day in the low 70's. I was happy to see the Peacock visiting, he hasn't been seen since last fall. We were getting ready to leave to meet hubby's cousin for lunch when the Peacock started his dance in front of the car.

6. March 12th, the Red-bellied Woodpecker was able to eat some of the suet nuggets. Usually the woodpeckers are chased away by the Mockingbird.

7. March 12th, I was surprised this photo turned out ok, I wanted to get the cardinal perched but he flew off when I captured him in flight.

8. April 25th Arbor Day

Celebrate Arbor Day, plant a tree.

"He who plants a tree plants hope."

A flashback from my facebook page, from March 2016. A favorite bird is the Red-headed Woodpecker seen at the North Point State Park. I have not seen these birds since this time, they have safely moved on I hope.

A Sept 2015 flashback from the North Point SP, we saw a few Tricolored Herons, The park is more known for seeing the Little Blue Herons, it was a treat to see the Tricolored Herons.

I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday  I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Thanks to all my visitors and for your past and present comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves and respects wildlife. Thank you for linking up a critter post.

Hi Eileen, thank you for sharing the delightful images in today’s Saturday’s Critters. The very first image of the Eastern Bluebirds … they are sweet and I do hope you’ll be able to see them raising their young this season. I may have mentioned this before … but it’s been years since I had a summer place in Montana and watched Mountain Bluebirds raise a family. I may have to go back and dig into the archives to find some photos to share … it was fascinating. Next … your shot of the Cardinal in flight … wow, what an excellent capture! Lastly … the Peacock … I can only imagine the joy of seeing that bird right there in your driveway. You know … reflecting on the creation of all things … nature really went wild with the Peacock! 😊 Again, thank you for sharing and hosting. Hope you and yours have a happy weekend and week ahead. John

eileeninmd said...

Hello John,
I would love to see your Mountain Bluebird photos, it is a treat to see the whole Bluebird family. The Peacock is a beautiful bird, especially when he is displaying his feathers and dancing. He does his dance often in our yard, I believe he is protecting his food from the squirrels and other birds that come near him. Nature is grand and just amazing! Thank you for your comment and your visit.
Take care, have a wonderful weekend.
