A mish-mash I am finally posting photos from the end of July. Photos are from my back yard and of course I share some flashback photos. I have various butterflies and an unknown moth.

1. I am seeing lots of butterflies at the coneflowers, the Buddleia and our Zinnias flowers. Below is the Fritillary Butterfly.
2. The Swallowtail butterflies are plentiful this summer. They are very pretty to watch visiting out buddleia bushes.
3. The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly is a pretty yellow with black tiger stripes with some red and blue spots
4. The purple coneflowers are growing well this year.

5. An unknown moth on the butterfly bush.
6. Our Crepe Myrtle had some beautiful blooms, the insects love these flowers.
7. Sept 2019, a flashback look at an Iceland bird, the Northern Fulmar. I saw some of these birds roosting on a cliff next to the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, South Coast Iceland.
The Northern Fulmar, a gull-like seabird. They are neat looking birds with their yellow beak with odd looking nose tubes.

Bonus, our son stopped by to do some work for us and he brought our grandsons for a visit. The boys enjoyed sitting on the deck feeding the Cardinal and watching the hummingbirds. Some time was spent eating snacks and watching a car race cartoon.

The butterflies are very beautiful, Eileen. I wish the swallowtail came to my garden too. I've only seen it here once. The Seljalandsfoss is very pretty too. The flowers in your garden looks wonderful! They grow well in your climate.

Thank you for visiting my blog. The flowers and butterflies are beautiful. The Northern Fulmars are very similar to the seagulls we get here in abundance. I think Fulmars belong to the albatross family though rather than Gulls.

really superb images of the butterflies. i have been enjoying their increased visites, seeing them really makes my heart happy...they will be gone soon. i think i will have 10 in chrysalis form for the winter, they will emerge next spring!! the boys look great, i know how much you enjoy them. i missed hearing about miney today!! have a great weekend and many thanks for hosting!!

It's an exciting time when the butterflies start showing up. We are starting to get some Monarchs. The swallowtails have already been here for a week or so.

the white gull is my favorite today, so beautiful and the first few butterflies are the type we have had here all the years until this year, they are gone, we had clouds of frittearies so many they flew into us. all gone, they went away in 2020 and have not come back,

Hi Eileen! Your backyard is its own little sanctuary! How beautiful a place! I enjoyed seeing your Iceland waterfall photo, it brought back wonderful memories. Back on June 28, 2017 at 10:00pm I stood behind that waterfall and looked out through it!
