1. Still behind with my photos. These are from Sept 3rd, we went to the Hashawha Nature Park. Miney seemed to enjoy the walk and all the new smells.
"The best therapist has fur and four legs."
"May your life be like a wildflower, growing freely in the beauty and joy of each day."
2. A group of wildflowers, the Cardinal flowers are a favorite.
"Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it."
Miney is waiting for her daddy to finish looking at all the Cardinal flowers.
3. The bee below likes the Thistle.
4. I am guessing the next two images are Skippers?
"To me, flowers are happiness."
I am not sure what the flowers/weeds are called, they look pretty to me. I like the color.
5. Hashawha Lake I usually see lots of dragonflies. I was lucky to catch this Blue Darter.
6. Heading back to our car, I noticed this Cardinal in a tree next to the trail. It looks like a young Cardinal.
7. Sept 3rd, back at home and in my yard we saw the peacock in the back of the yard and I believe the butterfly is a Common Sulfur. I could be wrong the Orange Sulfur looks similar.
8. My flashback photos are from our time in Florida 2016-2017 and again a Florida trip in 2019. I am sharing one of my many favorite Florida birds the Wood Stork.
Florida 2019, the Wakodahatchee Wetlands Park, Florida. Previously the wetlands nature park was part of the wastewater utility property.
8. Florida 2017, two Wood Storks seen at the Circle B Reserve in Lakeland.

Lovely photos and quote!
Have a super weekend!
Good Morning, dear Blogfriend... I'm late today. I enjoyed your rememberings to Florida and agree with the quote.
At the same time, the quote makes me think. It is long past midnight; nature and the entire environment must be protected much more. Otherwise, nature will no longer be able to give anything back when we go for a walk.
Thank you for sharing and for hosting.
Greetings by Heidrun ❤️
Hello Eileen,

Hello Eileen,

It is indeed a young cardinal, and I think the photo is very beautiful.

Beautiful photos and quote. Have a nice weekend, Eileen.
It’s great to see recent photos as well as the past ones! Wood storks sure are funny looking with their dark heads which look featherless. A bit of a reminder how they’re related to dinosaurs I think! I stop to enjoy cardinal flowers too! And you were fast to catch that Blue Darter!
I've never seen a wood stork. What a fantastic photo. Miney is in her element!
Great shots, as always, Eileen. Thank you for hosting. Have a great new week.
That looks like a very young cardinal indeed, must have been a late hatch. Love the dragon fly shot as well. Those are so hard to get!

Your walk is full of interesting and beautiful sights. Eileen, and Miney looks like she also enjoys seeing everything along the way. We are expecting our first frost tonight, so we've been busy bringing in all my potted herbs and our fig trees into our garage and raking and mulching leaves. We don't move as fast as we used too...lol!
