Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

Happy November everyone!  The days and months are flying by, way too fast for me.

I am sharing a mish-mash of critter photos. They are from my yard, my outings and some flash back photos.

Click on images for better viewing.

"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." John Muir

1. I will never catch up with recent images, below the images are from Sept 5th our walk with Miney on the NCR trail in Parkton Maryland, some Pokeberries and a Robin.

2. Sept 6th, my walk with Miney on the Prettyboy fire road, the deer hunters have arrived in the neighborhood, lots of mushrooms around the bottom of a tree and the ferns are starting to turn colors.

"Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole."

3. Sept 8th, another walk with Miney on the neighborhood fire road.

I used my Merlin app while walking Miney on the fire road, I heard and saw FOY Red-breasted Nuthatch. They are occasional winter visitors to my area.

Sept 8th, the waning gibbous moon, one day after the full moon.

4. Sept 9th, the warblers have returned to my yard. They do love the berries on the Devil's Walking Stick also known as aralia spinosa. I believe the photos below are the Cape May Warbler.

Sept 9th, we were headed to hubby's doctor appointment and stuck in road work traffic. I took a photo of a field of sunflowers next to the road.  Too far away but the Goldfinches were enjoying these flowers.

6. My flash-back images are of the Oystercatchers, they are an interesting looking shorebird. They have a stout red-orange bill that looks like a carrot to me. My photos below were taken on our Atlantic coast one from Cape May NJ and the other was seen a the Chincoteague Island NWR in Virginia.

7. The Black Oystercatchers were seen on the Washington Coastline.

8. The Eurasian Oystercatcher was seen on the Iceland coast. The bird has it's bill tucked in to the side and is not seen in my photos.

Update on hubby, he is having surgery on Tuesday. They are creating a long term fistula on his arm for Hemodialysis. It is an outpatient surgery, I am hoping all goes well.

I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday   I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Thanks to all my visitors and for your past and present comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves and respects wildlife. Thank you for linking up a critter post.

A wonderful saturday dear Eileen. Sometimes the wordly meaning of a translation from german to english names or vice-versa is different. But the oystercatcher has the same meaning. And I must confess - I´ve never heard (in german or english) that such a bird exists. Nice pics as ever.
Have a good time

Nice oystercatchers. I’ve always liked that bird! Here’s my post about them (and other birds) in the Camargue marshes in southern France:

Hope all goes well with hubby's day surgery. We saw black oyster catchers when visiting the West Coast in British Columbia, certainly a distinctive bird. Like you I keep taking photos, put them in files and hope to use them one day. Happy Saturday.

One of the best things about a dog -- they force you into a regular walk! Doctors should prescribe them!

Dear Eileen - I’m a little envious of you welcoming Warblers back to your yard. Our Warblers, Bush Warblers, are shy and don’t leave forest. Wishing your husband the best for his surgery.

I will be praying for your husband's procedure to go well on Tuesday, Eileen. I loved seeing all the birds on your walk--that Merlin app is a great one! I used to see oystercatchers from time to time along the beaches near us when we lived in Brooklyn. They move so fast along the shore!
