Sorry, I continue to be behind sharing my photos. It is still Autumn, the colorful trees are still looking beautiful.
Click on images for better viewing.
1. Miney and I usually enjoy a brisk walk every day, she is a happy dog when the leash comes out. Photos below are from our local fire road trail.
2. On this day hubby was with me and Miney on a walk to the front lake. The water level is down again due to the recent drought.
I attached the Prettyboy birds heard on my Merlin App. The Killdeer like when the lake is low, they hang out on the beachy area.
3. Hubby took a turn holding Miney's leash, nice to get a break if I want to take any bird photos.
4. Hide and seek, if you can find them there are two Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers on this photo below.
5. Not a critter but the Japanese Maple trees on our front lawn looked beautiful this fall.
6. Some of my backyard images, the Peacock came for a visit, Miney likes to watch Mr Blue the Peacock. One of my neighbors told me he named the peacock Mr Blue because a few years ago the peacock showed up out of the blue. The berries are colorful on our Dogwood tree and the Holly bushes and the Japanese Maple is looking pretty.
7. The Peacock is heading down our neighbors driveway, he does not like Miney.
I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Wow Eileen, you and Miney had.a great walk. Beautiful photos. ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing, and have a wonder filled weekend 😊 💕
Miney, meanwhile, is curious about the peacock.
Cute story about the peacock's name. I used to see the work of the Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers on my Blackhaw Viburnum trunk in the old days, although I have never seen one. Always enjoy where your hikes take you.
Gorgeous colors. The pictures of the Prettyboy Reservoir are so wonderful. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

The peacock is adorable!
Good morning, dear Eileen. Here is another wonderful post about your walks together with sweet Minnie, your faithful companion.
Yes, the drought is causing problems, which we are also feeling here in different ways depending on the region. But the birds you show here are wonderful to look at.
Thank you for sharing and for hosting. Have a wonderful 3 Advent and a good week ahead. Greetings by Heidrun 🎄
Miney looks like a wonderful walking companion. How neat to see the Killdeer, Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, and especially Mr. Blue the Peacock visiting your yard!
As usual: I'll get back to you later! 💚
The Cedar Waxwings have a fantastic, caressing voice. I like to hear them.
Mr Blue is a charming birc indeed. So elegant. 😉
Happy weekend and happy walks to you and your hubby!
Hello Eileen,
I'm sure Miney loves your brisk walk every day. Your Autumn photos are lovely, and the Maple trees are so beautiful. I can see many more of them!
The Cedar Waxwings are a very pretty birds. Take care, and enjoy your weekend!
Hi Eileen,
Beautiful series of photos and collages from your walks.
I love the Merlinbird app, I use it too.
There aren't many birds to be heard now, but that will improve completely in spring. I can hardly wait for that.
The Japanese maples are beautiful, and Miney is a sweet dog.
I wish you a wonderful weekend.
Best regards Irma
Quantas fotos lindas,Eileen!
Que bom quando teu marido pode caminhar com vocês!
Miney sempre junto e feliz ao passear e sabe que a coleira significa passeio!

no apologies needed, it's good to have such a fine stock of photos! I can see the tree creepers, and love to see Miney enjoying her life with you! Have a great weekend. YAM xx
First off, Eileen... I´m happy to look at the trees in color - glad you are "behind" - and I think once you reach winter me might be in Spring and seeing Winter ain´t so bad no more - a win-win!
The Cedar Waxwing looks kinda... "pisse# off" a bit, LOL.
I think it´s amazing that birds despite their hard beaks can show emotions! Your Hubby is nice :-)
Oh, boy, the low water level looks concerning.
Haha, I had that hide and seek in Australia, with a Fairy Wren. I must look for the postcard I finally got as proof that bird really exists!
Oh, those colorful trees! And the Peacock. Thank you - and have a great Saturday.
so this means no one owns Mr. Blue? that is really odd, I don't think they are wild, makes me wonder if someone dumped it. that is sad. does it eat the food you put out for the birds? its nice to see your husband walking with Miney. in our house if you pick up a leash you better be ready to walk... I did find the two birds but it was hard to see them.
Hello, Hope your doing fine. Always loved your post. No apologies needed :)
Awesome series of pics, Great views. Beautiful birds. Miney's walk pics lovely, Have a nice weekend. Greetings.
You always make nice walks...and once again I learn some designations for birds in English LOL. As I did not met living critters on my excursions I have linked one, that are exposed at Lumagica light installation at our Hofgarten. They look more impressive when illuminated.
Have a wonderful weekend
All the best
Violetta
...Eileen, you are extending fall and that is fine with me. Your Japanese maple is glorious. Thanks for hosting and wish you a wonderful weekend.
Lovely to see your photos of critters and scenery, regardless of when the photos were taken. While we are covered it white, it is nice to see the colours of autumn.
I wonder where birds—peacocks, for instance—stay during the winter. The forest must be enormous.
Good to see you, hubby and Miney at the lake. Sorry the water’s low. Mr.Blue is a nice surprise to have visit, and I wonder if he likes what falls on the ground from your feeders.
We are in the season of very few birds except at the feeder. So little daylight, so little sunshine, so few birds!
Good of you to host critters.
Oh, what a shame, dear Eileen, that the peacock doesn't like Miney—I like her very much! But it's probably because the peacock doesn't know sweet Miney very well 😉 (or because he generally considers dogs dangerous...)
I'm so happy to be hiking through your autumnal countryside with you, your hubby, and Miney—it's such a beautiful and colorful time of year. And there were so many birds to discover, both audibly and, in some cases, visually. I think I can see both Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers facing each other in the middle of the photo—is that right? I also found the thing with the row of rectangular holes very interesting...
Thank you so much for inviting us to follow you, for hosting and for your lovely comment on my blog!
All the best and have a wonderful time until Christmas 🕯️✨❣️, Traude
Always lovely photography no matter the season ~ love seeing Miney ~ hugs,

Thanks for taking us along on your wonderful walk!
Miney for sure enjoyed her daily walk! That Cedar Waxwing is a beauty.
Miney gives you great incentive to keep on walking. Nice to have some leash free time to zoom in on photos. Fun to see Mr. Blue! Happy critter time and Saturday to you.
It is nice to have a dog to walk with each day, Eileen. I miss those days.
You always see the best things! A cedar waxwing. Love that.
Such cute critters. Happy Saturday.
You had a very productive walk bird-wise. I know I haven't commented or shared anything in awhile, but I do finally have a "critter related" post to share!
i love that app and have yet to download it...you are getting a lot of use from it!! i did not see the cedar waxwings this year, sometimes i catch them as they migrate. so nice to see the hubby with you on your walk. they drained our reservoir and are lining it and upgrading it. it is closed until june 2026, we use to go a little and miss having it open!! many thanks for hosting, have a great weekend. we may be getting some snow tomorrow, i think you may be also!!!
Hi Eileen! Sorry to always link up late in the day--mornings are always busy here and it is extra busy now due to the holidays. It still looks like a beautiful autumn in your area. We had snow but it all melted as unusual warm weather came back 00we will be in the 60s all week ahead. We could have used more snow! I can see that Miney likes the peacocks and wants to play with them, but they want no part of her! Sometimes deer and moose here attack dogs as they think they are wolves, so it's good that Miney always walks on a leash for safety! Enjoy your week ahead!
Hello Eileen, I love to play word finds and picture finds and at first I thought they were in the brush but now I believe they are or at least one for sure is on the tree. Please let us know eventually where they are! Good to see you and hubby enjoying nature and Miney of course too! Stay warm and enjoy your weekend!
That was a happy jaunt with lots of interesting critters!
Thank you so much for hosting Saturday’s Critters again — it’s always such a pleasure to visit. I really enjoyed walking along with you and Miney through the fire road trail; you can almost feel how much she loves those daily walks the moment the leash comes out.
The low water level at Prettyboy Reservoir stood out to me, especially how you connected it with the Killdeer enjoying the beachy areas — such a clear example of how wildlife adapts.
I also smiled at the story of Mr Blue the Peacock showing up “out of the blue” — that feels like the kind of neighborhood character you never forget.
Thanks again for creating this welcoming space to share and enjoy all kinds of critters.

I LOVE the Japanese Maples. My youngest had two at his first home. I had one but it stayed green pretty much. So good to see you.

Eileen - I can relate to being behind on blog posts - as you see from my Amsterdam posts, I am still in April and May of this year!
Love the Autumn color - it is so brown here - we don't even have snow to add some interest! I love that you are including the screen shots from your Merlin app. I love the app - it helps me to know what I am looking for, and to learn the songs!
Thanks for visiting my blog, and have a wonderful week!
