1. The Peacock visits our deck late January, he feels safe as long as Miney is inside the house. Just days later the yard was covered with snow.
2. Miney does not seem to mind the snow, she likes going outside.
I often think of our first two dogs, Sunshine was a yellow Labrador and Daisy was a Golden Retriever. I will always miss them, they were great dogs. They both loved playing fetch, hiking and swimming.
3. Not a critter but I thought it was a pretty skywatch. One evening I watched the sunset turn the sky pink/purple and the trees were still covered with ice/snow.
From my archives I am sharing various critters seen during our travels.
A group of adult and juvenile Bald Eagles seen at the Neah Bay marina, Washington state.
Below are two moose, a mama and her calf seen in the Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
6. Seals seen at the Nisqually NWR in Washington state.
From our visit to a sheep farm in Ireland.
A herd of elk seen off the road to the Olympic coastline in Washington state.
Seen off the wildlife drive in the Savannah NWR in Georgia, we saw a baby alligator sitting on top of a turtle.
I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Looking back, rememberings are touch the heart. Yes, I know... good morning, dear Blogfriend Eileen. A big smile during I see Minnie into the snow scene. And there are rememberings to our Chow-Chow into the snow suddenly.
Have a wonderful week. Take care, be well.
Greetings by Heidrun ❤️
PS Thank you for sharing and for hosting ☃️
Oh, such cute animals, the moose and oh, as I write the Magpies and ravens are chatting! I got a green sheep today! Post to come.... Sadly I only hear the birds, so... no pics... sorry. Have a great day, Eileen. Thank you for hosting, even if I cannot add much...
Very enjoyable to see your wildlife photos from various trips you have taken. I don’t know what I would do if a peacock landed on the rail out back - a) fall out of shoes in shock and b) pick myself up and grab the camera. The baby alligator and turtle, wonderful capture, as all of them were. Also lovely to see your sweet dogs. Miney is a lucky dog to have found you. Thank you for sharing all of these. Have a wonderful weekend!
What a glorious series of captures, Eileen. Miney and I have something in common. We both love the snow ❄️
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos. I hope you have a lovely weekend.
The pink sky photo is wonderful. I like your collection of critter photos from the past, especially the alligator on the back of the turtle. Thanks for hosting Critters.
So many wonderful things here! Thank you and miny
Hello Eileen,
The peacock is a very large bird, and you are lucky to have it visit. I can understand that it feels safe when Miney is inside the house. You have had many nice dogs in the past. The skywatch was very beautiful. That is an incredible picture you took of the baby alligator sitting on a turtle!
Take care, and have a nice weekend!
I'll get back to you later with a proper comment! 💚

The gator on the turtle shot is a winner for me today - what a thing to see! The gorgeous pink sky and white trees compete with it... YAM xx
Thanks for sharing these images. I love the Peacock, the herd of Moose and the Eagles.
The Seals are cute too and the young Alligator is the most impressive.
Happy weekend and happy skywatch!
Hi Eileen,
This is a fantastic series of photos.

That alligator wins the prize! What a hoot...
If I were there, I have a feeling I would be watching that Peacock for hours on end! I always think a new snowfall makes everything look so clean and fresh!
Lovely shots, Eileen. It's always good revisiting old snaps and bringing back memories. Thanks for hosting, have a great new week.
...Eileen, you have a wonderful collection this morning. The baby alligator sitting on top of a turtle is rather unexpected. Thanks for hosting, be well.

Lovely sky photo. Your group of eagles is fantastic, I have memories of several eagles when e visited Goldstream Park in Victoria. Enjoy the weekend.
Great photos.

Good morning Eileen. I'll have to post my critters tomorrow. I enjoyed yours today though! And you reminded me I saw some mountain goats on a high mountain in CO - but couldn't get them to stay still for a photo!
Daisy and Sunshine are so beautiful, I know you still miss them. The gator/turtle shot is AMAZING, right place at the right moment. what a sight to see....you know I love all critters with 40 legs.
Very nice to see these great varieties of critters from your archives. Hope you have a wonderful last week of February!
That's such a terrific variety of wonderful critters and the pink sky is really pretty!
Miney looks like the kind of dog that would love the snow. That was a nice tour down memory lane of past trips, Eileen.
good thing miney does not mind the snow...i am sure you have heard there is another boatload coming, 18". i love seeing the peacock, what a treat. normally you would have to visit a zoo to see one!! an alligator on a turtle, that's not something you see everyday!! i hope you are out for a walk, it's beautiful here right now. "they" are saying we won't be able to get out for at least 2 days!! have a great weekend, and many thanks for hosting!!
Hello, I have a critter post for you that I've just linked up. :)
Hi Eileen! I hope the horse sculpture on my blog will qualify as a "critter" --it is both loved and hated by Coloradoans...lol The peacock that visits you is so large and beautiful! I enjoyed seeing the different animals you've seen all over the world--such wonderful memories! When I see moose I am always amazed at how large they are!
The peacock must know there's a dog inside.
Beautiful photos. I hope the alligator didn't take a bite of the turtle.

Dear Eileen, I enjoyed looking at the animals from your recent and more distant past and present. Miney is adorable, Sunshine and Daisy were too, and I can well understand why you always hold them in your heart.
Thanks to your post today, I finally understood the difference between "moose" and "elk" (I've been wondering about that in Canada as well): "Moose" is what we call "Elch" in German language. And "elk" is what we call "Wapiti"... So confusing! 😉 How cute, the photo of the smiling seal and the baby alligator sitting on top of a turtle! 🥰
Thank you so much for hosting and for your lovely comment!
All the best from Austria, Traude

Miney is a great dog. She always seems ready for anything. I love your previous dogs also. We love our two dogs and we talk about the dogs we used to have. We loved them, warts and all. And our cats, we love cats.
Your purple sky with the snow is spectacular.
I love all the other critters you found. Moose and Elk are favorites. I went my whole life without seeing alligators in the wild until a decade or so ago. That is still a treat for me.
You are a true friend of all animals.
Thank you Traude, for your link and comment.
I do love dogs, old old dogs are missed and Miney is a sweetie. The moose and elk do look different, the male moose's antlers are huge and shaped different than the male elk antlers. Take care, enjoy your day and weekend.
Thank you Yogi, for your link and comment.
My hubby and I often talk about our old dogs, each one had a different personality. I have seen lots of gators in Florida, too many. Take care, enjoy your day and weekend.

That peacock in your garden amazes me. Such a wonderful sight! Great short of the Gator and turtle. A unique capture!
I'm always amazed and impressed that a peacock comes to your yard!

Happy Sunday to you Eileen, I really enjoyed all the mix of animals from bunting heads in like would it be a kiss, to I remember your two dogs they were big hits here too. The moose is fun, and the boats at the dock a total favorite of mine. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and I hope the weather is kind to you, and so sadly we have here in Minnesota much more winter before spring even thinks of arriving. March can be our stormy and snowy month of all. Yikes! Take care, Karen

These are some interesting photos. We never see peacocks around here. Such a beautiful bird.
Thank you for linking to MosaicMonday...
...I'm not as focused as I usually am because of recent events. Sorry!
A baby croc sitting on a turtle.. isn't that something.
I love peacocks. Love all the animals.
looks like the snow is melting at your place. I was curious about the alligator. We have crocodiles here in Australia - both salt water (the very dangerous ones that will eat you) and the fresh water variety (don't go swimming with them), looks like your alligator has longer legs. Have a great week and thankyou for visiting my blog this week.
