Saturday's Critters # 644

Welcome to Saturday's Critters! Hello and Happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

Heads up April 22nd is Earth Day, we can help by participating in activities such as planting trees, cleaning up your neighborhood, reduce your use of plastics.

1. Some of my back yard critters, the Peacock likes to sit on top of our wood pile.

I think I bought this moose 30 years ago, it is made of heavy iron. After a trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone I decided Moose were one of my many favorite critters. I had to have a moose in my back yard.

2. At this time our weather was beautiful for taking our walks with Miney. On this day hubby and I took our walk on the NCR bike trail in Parkton Md. I heard and saw my FOY Eastern Phoebe.

The Eastern Phoebe has a call that sounds like fee-bee. It almost sounds like it is saying it's own name and feed-me, lol.

Miney checking out the NCR trail, looking for people, dogs and deer.

"The wildlife and it's habitat cannot speak, so we must and we will."

3. Below on this day it was just me and Miney taking the walk.  Hubby is tired on the days he has dialysis. Below are views of the Prettyboy Reservoir, it is really low, parts of the lake look more like a stream.

4. An early morning walk with just me and Miney, our walk on the local fire road at Prettyboy Watershed.

"Nature is not a place to visit, it is home."

Two birds below were heard on my walk with Miney, the Eastern Bluebird was one I heard often.

The Pine Warbler is a breeder in the Prettyboy Watershed, I've been hearing these birds calling a lot while I was on my walk.  The photo below is one of my archive images, the Pine Warbler used to visit my feeders. The male is a beautiful bright yellow color.

I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday   I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Thanks to all my visitors and for your past and present comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves and respects wildlife. Thank you for linking up a critter post.

I feel this sounds very odd, rightly odd, or oddly wrong?
Sorry, I thought I am in Wonderland.

Hello Eileen,
This is a beautiful series of photos and collages.
It is lovely to go for a walk with Miney.

Oh, Eileen, the birds look so fluffy, especially the last one!
And Miney´s gear looks interesting.
I wanted a cat when I was four - I got a German Shepherd instead as my Mom didn´t like cats. I was 4! My parents gave her (we named her Inka) a prong collar and sent me off with her. I hear you scream... But I was a tiny by then 5-year-old and did not harm her, that thing was of no use with me. I think these days those collars are forbidden, thankfully...
As said, no harm done and Miney´s looks much better - have a great Saturday.

I love seeing pictures of the peacock. The reservoir where you walk has low water. Our reservoir is high. Are you not seeing a lot of rain?

Beautiful birdies!

Sweet little birds and Miney seems to enjoy them (a guess) as much as you. Of course she needs to stop for you to take their photos, which might sometimes be a conflict of interest!

Beautiful peacock, Eileen and lovely little birds. Our Earth is precious and lovely (something driven home by the recent photos of it taken by the Artemis II crew!), and we need to do more to save it. Thanks for hosting and have a great new week!

Hi Eileen! Your bird pictures are wonderful, and would make excellent reference material to draw from. I used to take my dogs out for walks, but now we're down to just a little old one, who can't walk for long. We do have 3 loving cats, but they're not walkers - LOL! Blessings to you and your husband.

It is so cool to have a "resident" peacock living in your yard, Eileen! I like your iron moose--we sometimes see them travel through our neighborhood, which is always a big and scary event. The Pine Warbler is so pretty, as is the Eastern Bluebird. Have a good weekend!

I love your moose. Is it from Moose Junction in Wyoming? (Just kidding). Miney is a great hiking companion. I've never seen a phoebe. I've glimpsed a pine warbler in New Mexico but couldn't get a photo. I had Eastern Bluebirds at my feeder recently.

The Blue Bird and Pine Warbler are absolutely adorable. If we could trace their flights, I hope their lives have fared well.
