I am linking up with Wild Bird Wednesday and Nature Notes
The rain kept me mostly in the house and I was not able to go birding this weekend. So, I am sharing some of the regulars or the year round birds I saw in my yard this last couple of days.
A couple of House Finches have been having around the yard.
The Cardinals are daily visitors to my yard
Lately I have been seeing a group of House Sparrows at my feeders.
The White-Breasted Nuthatch is also a regular visitor and one of my favorites. I have been seeing some of the winter birds moving in like the Ruby-Crowned Kinglets and yesterday I saw my FOY Dark-eyed Junco. Thanks for stopping by to see my Wild Birds..

Lovely! I just finally put out some bird food again. I was kind of waiting on the Grackles to migrate out of here. They take over everything.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Nuthatches are one of my favorites, too, but we don't see them at the feeders. I keep hoping.
ReplyDeleteNice group of birds coming through your yard! I usually have to hunt pretty hard for those birds. Great shots.

ReplyDeleteSo far, I haven't had any House Sparrows here... I'm glad since I have heard that they can be mean... BUT--they are pretty little birds.

ReplyDeleteAs you know I have a soft spot for birds - great to see and enjoy your photos, you have some lovely looking birds, although I guess one countries common bird is another countries exotic - we sometimes get parrots and kingfishers!

ReplyDeleteAre you feeding your birds on deck railing, Eileen? I do--safe from chipmunks and I can see closeup. Have been seeing a few new ones in the yard. Lots of cardinals like your pretties. And I'd love to see one of those sturdy little nuthatches.
