Linking up with Wild Bird Wednesday and Nature Notes
For this week's wild bird I am sharing my backyard Pine Warbler. Some times I see these warblers year round and lately these two....a male and female or maybe it is a 1st yr male..it has more yellow than I thought the females. They have been showing up at my suet feeders.. They love the little peanut suet balls..
It took a while to see both the male and female ( or could it be a juvie) close to each other..
I captured both the male and female taking flight at the same time. The cardinal does not have a clue, the warblers are behind him..
.. I hope you enjoyed my wild bird post.. Till next week's wild bird post.. I wish you happy Birding and have a wonderful week!

ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, Gorgeous weather here today! I sure do love your photographs of those songbirds! Nice to see how bright their feathers are in breeding season plumage. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty birds. I don't normally see them but had one at the feeders last year and then no other sightings. Looks like Mr. Cardinal did a good job photocopying the warblers.
ReplyDeleteHappy birding!
Sweet and colorful makes bird visits really great . . .
ReplyDeleteTo think there are some who never, ever watch or listen!
Great having these at your feeders.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the birds !

Sigi
yum...warblers...so sweet
ReplyDeleteVery cool sighting, Eileen! I hope a few are heading northward. ;))
ReplyDeleteyour feeders attract such gorgeous looking birds. Birds are lucky to be clicked by an ace photographer like you!
ReplyDeletesuch pretty little balls of color!
ReplyDeleteI hope you find me clear down at the bottom of your long comment list. I so enjoy your bird photography and have to admit to jealousy over any photo (good or bad) of a cardinal, especially since we do not have them in Colorado. We do get a variety of warblers that spend a few weeks here as they migrate north. I always hear them before I see them and sometimes get lucky enough to photograph them.
ReplyDeleteso very cute in the first 2 shots, round and yellow and beautiful. i like the in flight shot to...
ReplyDeleteOh I love these lovely little yellow birds and rarely see them.
ReplyDeletePretty little warblers and stunning cardinal too.
ReplyDeletePretty green colour on the cute warblers! Enjoy your day, Eileen.

ReplyDeleteGreat captures. Pretty color on the warblers, but the cardinal is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow wonderful shot of the Pine Warblers taking flight at the same time - watch out Cardinal!
ReplyDeleteWren x
The peanut looks pretty big compared to the size of the Pine Warbler. It's astonishing what the little guys take on for food. He's so cute.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty bird. I laughed that the cardinal seemed oblivious to the warblers.
ReplyDeleteThese are great captures! Love the clueless cardinal.
ReplyDeleteCute birds.... I put out those suet balls too. Sometimes robins eat them too..... Michelle
ReplyDeleteSweet little birds... I too put out those suet balls.... Michelle
ReplyDeleteI am still looking for my first Pine Warbler here and I have never seen one at a feeder.
