Hello,
Joining in today with a couple of my favorite memes Michelle's Nature Notes and Stewart's Wild Bird Wednesday. I am seeing lots of birds during my stay in Florida, I do miss feeding my yard birds but these Florida wild birds are just wonderful.
These herons were all found at the Circle B Bar Reserve in Lakeland Florida.
The Green Heron has always been one of my favorite herons.
The Black-crowned Night Heron is another favorite.
The Great Blue Herons are a common bird in Florida and at the Circle B.
I hope you enjoyed my wild bird photos and post. Thank you for stopping by and as always I appreciate your comments.
My list of memes for today, I hope to see you there. Thanks to both of the host below.
Thanks to Michelle for hosting Nature Notes

All wonderful herons and all wonderful pictures -- guidebook worthy! Happy Florida New Year.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Heron..
ReplyDeleteWhat a great bunch of photos! I would love seeing all of them!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, The only time I have seen a Black Crowned Night Heron was at Sanibel Island, FL, at the Ding Darling Preserve. I was just thinking about the Green Herons this afternoon. No, did not spot one, did see a Little Blue (a pretty rare thing here in recent weeks). Have an outstanding day tomorrow! By the way, I saw a pair of Bald Eagles (no pix) over the lake in my neighborhood this afternoon and it was after a White Ibis in flight).
ReplyDeleteHerons galore!!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could put up such a title to a post of mine!!
The Green heron really draws my attention, we don't have anything like it here, it is gorgeous!
Thanks, I needed that. I'm missing the herons locally this winter. Happy Day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the herons. Can't youmfeed yard birds in Florida?
