Egret Tree

For this weeks Skywatch Friday I am posting my Egret tree I saw at Bombay Hook NWR last weekend. They are a  wonderful sight for me to see.  Sometimes they are perched on bear trees or branches and the Egrets and the sky really stand out.

You can click on the photos for a larger image.

If you can see yellow feet, they are Snowy Egrets.

Do you like butter? This is a field of buttercups.
I think the yellow buttercups along with the pretty clouds and sky look beautiful.

Just another bird I saw at Bombay Hook NWR, the Blue Grosbeak.

To see more wonderful skies click here Skywatch Friday!

Thanks to the hosting team of Skywatch Friday and thanks for stopping by to see my skies.

I love the egret tree! They look almost too big to be up there. LOL

I've never seen a blue grosbeak before. Well, maybe I have and didn't know it.

Those egrets sure stand out white against that blue Eileen. A well spotted opportunity there.

Another great post Eileen, those Egret/Sky shots are wonderful, but also love the buttercup field and I love how you have ended it with the Grosbeak.

Your buttercups look like a paddy field. And I can find many living things inside.

I love the Egret Tree. It's like a Charlie Brown tree. And the field of buttercups is choice.

I love the egrets in the tree and the yellow field with beautiful sky is such a treat. I also like how you caught the blue grosbeak in the grasses. Great sequence.

I just visited you about 10 times because I kept closing the link instead of the enlarged picture! (technically illiterate still after all this time). But it was SO worth it -- I love these pictures. Have never seen a blue grosbeak.

The egret tree is just great. I can never believe the way those birds -- and the herons -- can perch their ungainly selves on those skinny branches. Great pictures. Thank you for sharing.

That Grosbeak is pretty as well as the buttercups-just magnificent! I really enjoy fields like that!! You know its those snowy Egrets I find so captivating! We have some white shore birds (not sure of the name)? But they gather in trees around the water at a restaurant, in the evening (seafood)..where they also raise fish. They are lovely to look at. Anyway- a terrific post- have a wonderful weekend Eileen-
