Walk to the lake

I am adding Weekend Reflections  to this post. Check out the reflections of the trees around my lake photo. And if you click on my Goldie Girl swimming, there is a cute reflection of her face and nose. Thanks to James for hosting Weekend Reflections.

For Watery Wednesday, Outdoor Wednesday and Nature Notes I am posting some of my photos from our walk to the lake near our house.

The ovenbird looks very similar to a stripe-throated bubbul that I have seen recently.

Very charming.

You saw nice things during your walk. Even though it is a place that you might walk to regularly, don't you always find something to photograph. I do, when I go for walks in my neighborhood or at one of our local parks.

Hi Eileen, I haven't heard nor see an ovenbird before. Did I read it right?

Your golden girl made me smile.

Good Morning Sweetie...
What beautiful photos you have shared today. I so enjoyed peering through the woods at the beautiful ovenbird. I have never seen one before.

Goldie Girl is beautiful and swims like a champ. I know you have fun with her. The water looks so inviting. As hot as it has been here in the valley I would so enjoy jumping in myself.

Wild flowers are beautiful. Such a vibrant yellow. I love looking down the road in the fireroad photo it is beautiful.

Gorgeous share today. Have a wonderful day. Country hugs sweetie and much love, Sherry

what a great find, the Oven bird.
I marvel the way you find these tiny birds and they don't fly away.

I saw some Silver eyes, but they flew before I got nearer.

Thanks for bringing us on your walk, I needed that.
Your Goldie is beautiful. I had a golden/setter mix once. Her pesonality was all setter and she wouldn't retrieve. Let her spot some quail, though, and she would stand at a perfect point and then flush. If she could, she would have taken to the air after them. I miss that dog.

Hi, Eileen;
Lovely photos. Looks like a cool, refreshing place to spend an afternoon. I'm sure my Bad Dog would be just as ecstatic as your Goldie about playing in the water.
