Keel Billed Toucan

Keel Billed Toucan seen at the at the National Zoo in DC this past weekend.

The Keel Billed Toucan I saw in the wilds of Costa Rica last year.

I love seeing birds anywhere but seeing them in the wild is so much nicer.

Thanks to the hosts of both World Bird Wednesday and Wordless Wednesday. Also, thanks for stopping by my post. I hope the rest of your week is great.

  7. Hi Eileen, Nice pictures of the Toucans. I agree with you about it being better to view animals in the wild. I thought that way when I saw my first Orca in the waters off British Columbia a few years ago while on a vacation.

  12. Wow! What a colorful bird. I'll probably never see one in the wild, and may not ever even see a captive toucan. So, thanks for sharing your photos.

  32. I've only seen them in zoos....to be able to see one in the 'wild' would make me faint with excitement. Or maybe I'd pee in my pants. Who knows.
