Around the yard

I am linking up with Todays Flowers and Mosaic Monday and Ruby Tuesday

Even though it is officially fall my flowers are still blooming and looking beautiful. Yesterday I walked around my yard taking some photos of the flowers, birds and the frogs at the pond. We have hads tons of rain here and I guess that helps, even though I am sick of the rain. The flowers are happy, the frogs seem really happy and the birds looked wet. I am still being rewarded with some sweet cherry tomatoes.  I really wanted and needed was some sunshine.

It's been damp, my poor bear has turkey feathers growing. Have you ever seen a bear with feathers? LOL

The winterberries are looking so colorful and my butterfly bushes are still  attracted a pretty Fritillary.

The zinnias and lantana are blooming and my dogwood tree has these colorful red berries.

The American Goldfinch is one of my year round sweeties.

This Catbird should be leaving soon and be replaced with some winter birds.

In my mosaic above I have some of my the Catbirds, my sweet Goldfinches, a few of my pond frogs, a cute chipper and a fussy Titmouse.

The winterberry bush is looking colorful.

I have been really happy with these zinnias, they bloomed all summer long and are still blooming.

Fritillary on my butterfly bush

My pond frog, it has the biggest eyes.

I hope you enjoyed my walk around my yard. To see many more beautiful flowers, mosaics and photos please visit: Today's Flowers and Mosaic Monday and Ruby Tuesday

Your garden is full of life and vitality. Lots of colour too and maybe some more sunshine soon.

It all looks wonderful and so colourful. The rain is a nuisance sometimes when we get so much of it but the plants really appreciate it.

Quite a nice mosaic. Your yard looks like a soothing and inviting place to be. I am ready for some sunshine and some coolness also and I just wrote a poem on that subject and posted it in Kathie's Poet Tree. I guess we are all ready for autumn to begin! Love the winter berries!

Your garden looks fine to me Eileen, but over here we know how too much rain can dampen your spirit as well as the flowers.

I did indeed enjoy my wander around your garden. There's still loads of great colour and obviously you're still getting lots of lovely garden visitors. I'm afraid bear is looking a little disgruntled with his new feathery foliage! Great mosaics and images once again.

Hi Eileen,
I always look forward to your beautiful mosiaxs of nature. Yes indeed your flowers are still very gorgeous. Love your big eyed frog. Our grandson gave us one (or maybe it's a toad, not sure) but have only seen him once this year. I had the prettiest bluebird eating seeds from my sunflowers this morning. Darn, by the time I ran and got the camera he was flying away. You always manage to be prepared to catch those critters.

We still have flowers although, at least psychologically, I feel that Summer has passed, flora or no. Your abode and grounds are lovely, and the bear is great - a carving in wood of intricate detail...a fine decoration.
