Hubby and I saw a lot of birds during our visit to Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware. It is a great wildlife refuge to visit in the summer. Just some of the birds we saw are the American Avocets, Glossy Ibis, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret, Snowy Egret, Canada Geese, Green Heron, Blue Grosbeak and Indigo Bunting.

ReplyDeleteYou have some truly magnificent birds in your area. That Indigo Bunting is gorgeous. They are spotty here in Arizona. Our common bunting right now is the Varied which is also quite beautiful....but one dare not get too close or they fly off!

ReplyDeleteStupendous Eileen!!! I hope to some day see a glossy ibis, but I think they're more or less a Florida bird, but I read that the white faced found here in Texas are quite similar.
