I am linking up with Our World Tuesday
September 2, 2013
For my post for Our World Tuesday, I am sharing some of the scenes from this weekend's walk. We walked on the fireroad that we call the Pine Tree loop, it maybe a mile long.
Along the trail, beside the tall pine trees we saw lots of colorful berries and some leaves changing into their pretty fall colors.
Autumn is a second Spring when every leaf is a flower. A quote by Albert Camus.
I am sure the birds are happy with all the berries we were seeing.
Of course while I am walking I am listening for different birds, I could hear some loud Bluejays, a Wood PeWee, Cardinals, a Northern Flicker and I am sure some Warblers were high in the treetops.
I believe there were two Northern Flickers, but I was only able to snap off a few shots of this Flicker. It is pretty with the red on its head and the spotted chest.
Along the trail, we saw different kinds of ferns, they all look beautiful to me. After working all week, I am happy to get outdoors for a walk and to enjoy everything that is nature.
One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. A quote by William Shakespeare.
As always, I hope you enjoy my post and thanks for visiting my blog. I always appreciate your comments.

What a beautiful nature trail. The berries are so colorful and I love the Flicker. Great post, Eileen. have a great day. Jo
That had to be just the most pleasant walk! You saw lots beauty out there. Really like those bright berries - any idea what kind of berries they were? - and I love your Flicker photo.
Hi!The fern photo and And berry photo are very beautiful. It'S beautiful walking trail. Thanks for sharing.
The Pine Tree Loop is a great place to unload the frustrations of a work week. Those berries are a beautiful red and the ferns a lovely green.
A beautiful walk! Wonderful photos!
I am eager to take the pictures of fern leaves right now.
love the ferns and pretty red berries, but the flicker steals the show. love their 'floating' spots on their chests.
Thank you for taking us on this lovely walk Eileen. Your pictures show the beauty, everywhere is so lush and green. The flicker is a beautiful bird, you have captured him well. Thank you also for the tip on the road in Glacier. We will be sure to take it. Stayed in Helena, Montana last night and have about 200 miles to go. Have a great week :)
Looks like a lovely trail to walk, and you have some great photos there. I love the patterns that fern leaves make. And thanks for your visits to my blog.

You had a lovely walk through the woods. I especially loved the bright colors of those berries and the flicker.
This is a beautiful place! The solo Flicker shot is fantastic! Excellent feather detail!

A lovely quote from Albert Camus about leaves to go with your lovely pictures Eileen. I never heard that one before but how true and observant it is. Goos shots of the flicker too. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Another beautiful walk.. I love the way your posts always make me feel as if I've gone along with you...I can almost hear the birds sing!
The flicker is beautiful -- ours won't return until late fall.

Lovely weekend walk Eileen, I love it.
Before I forget I have to tell you that your header is beautiful. This looks like a great walking trail with all the berries and birds.
Such a beautiful walk.
That was a lovely walk. I liked seeing the Northern Flicker - we have them here too, but they are notoriously shy. I've never managed to photograph one of them. They like the arbutus trees when the berries are out.
Such a lovely walk Eileen!
Such magnificent tall trees! The Flicker is a beauty!!
What a gorgeous walk!
Sounds have a nice day! beautiful picture series..Indeed, Dear.
Great photos and a beautiful place to walk. I like the contrast of the tall straight trees and the shrubs and berries beside them.
Wonderful Photos!
I've never seen such a bird, it's not in Germany ...
Have a great late summer
The delicate patterns of the ferns are great.

Yes, congratulations, interesting photos of the forest!

Beautiful Eileen! The colours are so rich and lovely.
They look like Northern Flickers to me:) They are colorful birds.....here we have mostly Red-shafted but I guess there are Yellow-shafted(much more rare). And then there are the Gilded Flickers that live only in the Saguaro cactus. Similar but different.
I love the delicacy of ferns. You caught great photos of the Flicker. Those berries will be good bear food. I'm seeing lots of berries in our woods, too.
Nice post! Must be a great walk!
That path looks like something I would absolutely love.
This trail looked very cool and lush with foliage, Eileen--very different from most of the trails I walk here in Colorado.
These are beautiful and I love the quote by Camus!
Playing catch up!! Such a lovely place to walk!!
