I am linking up with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday
September 8, 2013
I am sharing some scenes from our weekend walk and from around our yard and neighborhood. Yesterday, hubby and I tried our luck on finding some migrating warblers. We took our weekend walk at a park in Milford Mill in Baltimore County. It is known to be a hotspot for seeing the warblers during the Spring and Fall migrations.
Just one of the warblers we saw, I believe this is a juvie fall version of the Chestnut-sided Warbler. It was hard trying to take any warbler photos the leaves kept getting in the way.
These flowers are beautiful sight seen along the park trail.
Back in our yard, a Fritillary was on the butterfly bush, the Devil's Stick berries are waiting for the warblers to chow down and the hummingbirds are still around guarding the feeders.
I am not sure why but this has been the second tractor parade down my street, there was one last month and yesterday I was able to catch more of the parade. On a neighboring street I watched a peacock hen parade down the street.
As always, I hope you enjoy my post and thanks for visiting my blog. I always appreciate your comments.

Maybe the pea hen was trying to catch up to the tractor parade. So cute! I have never seen a warbler, but I hear them every now and then. I love their song. I hope that you were treated to the music, too. Beautiful images. I always enjoy my visit.

Hello Eileen
I always enjoy what you have to share; I see so many birds that are new to me.
The tractor parade sounds like fun, never seen one in our parts.
Judith
A peacock hen...I was wondering what that was! How funny. Love the tractor parade. We went for a drive today and got behind a few tractors. Lovely photos as always!
Eileen your photos are beautiful! The tractor parade sure is unique but fun. They don't do that on our road! I'd like to see it though. :) Have a great week. Pamela
Great pictures . . . fun tractor parade. I wonder what the yellow flower is . . .
The bright yellow flowers are blooming around us too--I wish I knew what they were; they are a welcome color this time of year, aren't they?
Love the Warblers and you live on an interesting street.
Sounds like an interesting walk.
love the butterfly on the butterfly-bush; does your hubby hard-prune it each Spring or do they not grow too much over there? The hummers too are always a favourite of mine to see Eileen; lovely post.
Hi Eileen, I have never seen a Chestnut-sided Warbler. I sure do hope to do so one day. Your hummers look content. The tractor parade was cool. Have a fine coming week!
What an interesting road you live on Eileen! Whatever the tractor parade was about - it made for a great photo opportunity!
You have such interesting birds and insects in the States - you did well to get those photos.
Have a good week

Beautiful place with such lovely birds, flowers and butterflies.
Hi Eileen,
You are so lucky to be able to walk in such beautiful surroundings, full of flowers and birds and wildlife. Now if that's not a breath of fresh air, then I don't know what is!

Hi Eileen love the Hummingbird adn tractors. I see commetns are saying that bird is a peahen. Is it? Cetainly does not look like our Peahens.
Great colagges Eileen.
The Kolibri is my favorite.

Dimi...
Great set of pictures.
All the tractors reminded me of a film called (I think) The Straight Story - its about an old man who takes a very long journey on a ride on lawn mower!
cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Warblers are so hard to find among the leaves, the birds match the leaves perfectly. Great when nesting. A tractor parade how interesting. Have a great week.
Hi Eileen - this was a lovely set of collages. Love that tractor parade - how fun! And those yellow flowers stole my heart!
Great photos Eileen. Lovely birds! I saw a tractor parade yesterday. Everyone who had an old tractor going back more than 50 years got out and gave them a whirl. It was fun seeing them.
What an awesome hummingbird capture! And I love the tractors :)
I like the tractor parade and the parading peacock! You live in such an interesting area.
I always love all your bird photos!
Beautiful images. The birds are well hidden in the foliage, aren't they? But you managed to capture some great photos.
The tractor parade is cute - wonder what that was all about.
First thank you for your sweet words on my blog.
Your bird photo's are always great and I love that parade.
Wonderful bird and flower photos - the butterfly is amazing - mine flit about so much I can never capture them with the camera.
Gotta love that tractor parade - especially the guys in the tiny garden tractor - wonderful wonderful.
Gorgeous shots, Eileen! The parade looks like a fun event..
Eileen, you've got some lovely shots here. Those yellow flowers are beautiful!
As always fantastic nature photography and what a lovely weekend treat ~ carol, xo
Thanks for sharing your weekend with us. The park is beautiful, even if it is difficult to get pictures of the warblers. The tractor parades are interesting. I hope you can discover the story behind them.
Glad you saw at least ONE warbler.... Sometimes if I am searching for one specific bird, I see everything BUT that one.. ha
You must be special to have a tractor parade down your street..... ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Beautiful birds and the traffic, ha ha.
Lovely series of shots, you have a very interesting street. Love the butterfly shot.
Never heard of tractor parades. : )
I've seen quite a few tractors on the road around here but they are all working!
Beautiful, peaceful scenes. Have a lovely week ;-)
Beautiful shots from your walk and yard. I love seeing the butterflies.
Beautiful photos! I really like the Fritillary one. I have been trying to get something similar but they move to fast for me.
The warblers are so hard! Ours will be gone soon.
Great photos.
Cheers from Cottage Country Ontario
I loved the warbler photos, and the tractor parade made me smile! It looks like summer is hanging on there, Eileen!
Beautiful is the word!
Beautiful is the word!
Hi Eileen, miss blogging and visiting your blogs. These yellow blooms are really pretty. So much fun to see those birds hoping among those trees, too.
I wish there's more than 24 hours in a day.
Enjoy your week!
nature at its best.
Wonderful photos, great colors, that beautiful butterfly!
Beautiful captures as always!!
Great post!! Boom & gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Thanks for visiting me in Greece Eileen. I'll catch up with you soon.
you provide such a wonderful spot for our feathered friends!!
great captures, i love the idea of a tractor parade!!
So lush and green! I love hummingbirds...we don`t have them here.
Beautiful shots! One of the hardest things to do is photograph birds in trees. I don't know my warblers very well.
what a lovely walk... to enjoy the breeze and the scenary
Your top mosaic, Eileen, made me think of Spring ... so fresh, so bright! It is very autumnal here today (grey, wet, cold and windy) ... but I'm hoping the summer may yet return before it finally departs.
Those flowers are really pretty! And the birds are lovely as well. I'd love to see a peacock hen parade!
How lovely!
Hi Eileen,
You have so many beautiful things to see on your walks. I love those butterflies and birds!
Heisann!
Thanks for sharing the walk!
Today I saw a student driving to school in a tractor.
I didn´t belive my eyes!
My colleague said he does so every day...
Have som nice days ahead ;:OD)
You still got nice shots despite the leaves getting in the way. The bird to the left of the tractors - doesn't she look grand?! Queen of the road :)
Hazel
That is funny Eileen, the peahen running down the road...maybe she wanted to be part of the big tractor parade. We only have tractors parade once a year, when our county is celebrated...hmm wonder what they have been congregating for. Happy rest of your week~
I don't ever remember a warbler in our backyard but the other day coming back to the deck from the garage I saw this little fellow trying to get into the kitchen through the sliding door. I am positive it was a yellow warbler. Unfortunately the camera was in the inside. Our hummingbirds are ferocious at the moment dipping and diving and chasing each other at high speed. Valerie
