Ocean City, Maryland

Linking up with Skywatch Friday

These shots were from last weekend's getaway to the shore.. Since we spent the night we were able to watch the sunset at Ocean City's inlet.  And while at the inlet I had to check out the birds, mostly sea ducks.

It is hard trying to focus on a bird sitting in the ocean while the waves are moving up and down. But, I thought this shot of the Common Loon is cute.

This is the same bird as above, I happened to see more of the bird than the water.

There was a big group of Scoter's a the inlet I caught them floating by the reflection..

I hope you enjoy my sunsets and the Common Loon photos. I hope to see you on Saturday sharing your critters.. Thank you for visiting my post!

To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday

Thanks to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday!   I wish everyone a safe and happy long weekend.

i am always amazed by all the birdie shots you get ... Maryland must really have such a bunch compare to VA.

  2. The sunset photos are amazing! I thought the bird looked like a loon, but is it a common loon? I've only seen very black heads/necks on common loons up here (Ont). I'm curious about this now, and wonder if this is a young loon, or are they somewhat different colouring in different areas. Wendy

  33. Oh what spectacular sunsets, the skies filled with rich reds and pearly oranges, warming our hearts and confirming that spring is here, even though it may not feel like it in some parts of the continent - like my hometown of Toronto, where it snowed yet again, today!

The Common Loon photos are lovely and I can sense the peace of the water in them.

    Happy weekend to you, Eileen!
