Hello everyone
Just a short post I am home now from our road trip to Florida.. Almost two weeks away.. Sorry I missed all your blog posts while I was away I have some catching up to do..Happy Friday!
The Coquina Columns made of sculptured sand..sedimentary circular rocks or bowls that create tidal pools.
Also seen at the Washington Oaks State Park..a Great Blue Heron waiting for some leftovers from the fisherman..
Washington Oaks State Park also had these great big beautiful trees with the spanish moss.
This is just a tease with some of my Florida photos.. I took over 1700 shots..
Have a happy day and weekend ahead..

Que bom te ver de volta e com fotos lindas como sempre! Lindo fds! bjs, chica
that park is fantastic and the only big owl we ever saw was in that park sitting in one of those big trees. it was almost 3 foot tall and i had no camera back then, that is a wonderful park. our favorite place on this earth is Ormond Beach, just south of this park.
Welcome home, looking forward to more of your photos.
I love seeing Spanish Moss in the trees.
Glad you are back with us, Eileen...and we will look forward to more pictures from Florida. I see you found your bird to post for us today.

Glad you got some time in the warmth.
Were you trying to convince hubby that Florida is the ideal place??? I won't tell.
Enjoyed the photo most of that beach. Neat!
Lucky you, happy to have you back home again, and I'd be bringing home just as many if not more if I'd been on vacation!
As long as you bring home pretty pictures like that you may go again, I forgive you :))
I LOVE that beach shot! And the heron with fish! And the neat holes and those beautiful trees with moss on them!

Wonderful pics.
Great to see you back.
Ah a beautiful part of our (relatively new) state where we haven't spent much time. Did visit St Augustine in 2010, but only touristy stuff in the city as we were on our way back from the trip up the East Coast! Glad you got a break from winter, hope it's almost gone at your house now.
Welcome back, Eileen! You know you're gonna have to show us more of those lovely Florida pics!
Welcome home!

Welcome back Eileen. I reckon you deserved two weeks in the Florida sun after the dreadful winter you endured.

Welcome back! I look forward to seeing more of your Florida pictures.
Hi, I know how hard it is to keep up when you are on vacation. I usually don't even try--but just catch up after I get home...
I love the St. Augustine area. My brothers lived there and I visited that area many times. I love those big Oak Trees with the Spanish Moss....
Freeze Warning here tonight and tomorrow night. NO FUN for us since we have so many Spring flower and new growth now... Oh Well--tis life.
Hugs,
Betsy
Welcome back and so nice to see your Florida pictures.
This looks like a beautiful, warm area and it sounds like you had a wonderful time away, Ellen. Welcome home--I look forward to seeing all the birds you discovered there!
Splendid shots! Glad to see you, E.
You have NO catching up to do. The blogosphere is too big for any of us.
Let's just enjoy our friendship with NO blog-ligations!

Ah - lovely shots of Florida! You must have had a wonderful time.
Wonderful beach, a funny bird, as well, a very interesting tree in images above! You must had a fantastic trip!
welcome home, it looks so beautiful!!!!
It's been a long time since I experienced Spanish moss and smelled the salt air. Too long!
~
I imagine you will be posting photos for the next six months! I took about that many shots of our trip to Utah & CO last summer and it took me about six months to post them! :-) Wow! What a great time of year to go...looks beautiful where you were! I can't wait to see more!
No critters or even birds this weekend to post (for me) so I will visit some of the posters on your meme and maybe next weekend I will have something! Have a great week recuperating from the trip!
1700...yikes! You are worse than I am, Eileen! Good to hear that you had a great time because these pix are super...:)JP
A great tease, indeed, Eileen. I don't know if I'll ever make it to Florida. So, these are a treat.
Spanish Moss is truly enigmatic. It makes even the most mundane tree seem exotic and mysterious almost.
What lovely shots and I can't wait to see more soon. Welcome Back!
The first shot of the yellow-crowned herons is magical, I like the curled uplifted wings of the lower bird.
