March 8th.....Happy International Women's Day!!
March 8th.....Happy International Women's Day!!
These are some scenes and images from my world during the past week. It has been a cold snowy week. The last snow storm gave us about 6 more inches of snow..Luckily one of our neighbors help hubby plow our driveway.. We have great neighbors. I do have to say thanks to all the snow plow drivers in Maryland. They have done such a great job clearing our roads this winter..
Looking up our street, snow covered trees are pretty.
I am preparing this post on Saturday March 7, Daylight savings time has started this weekend and it will help to enjoy the longer daylight hours. During the past week, I stayed warm and cozy in my house, watching my yard birds putting up with this cold winter and the snow storm. This week I've been walking on my treadmill, enjoying my yard birds and I tried a new cookie recipe..courtesy of Lifeisgood Hubby and I both loved the cookies..thanks Happyone!
After the latest snow storm, it was still cold but we had pretty blue skies and the full moon..The pine trees always look gorgeous with the snow..And the plow trucks cleared our street down to the blacktop..
The woodies are some of my favorite yard birds to watch..I am lucky to see the Downy Woodpeckers and the Redbellied Woodpeckers visit my feeders.. I hope to get out soon and take more photos other than from my yard.
A backyard scene, my birdhouse, my moose on the loose is covered with snow up to his antlers, behind the birdhouse are two overgrown blueberry bushes.. I am looking forward to some blueberries this summer.
I think this female Cardinal is as tired of winter as I am. We are both looking forward to Spring.. I hope you enjoyed my post. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. I appreciate the nice comments..

Fotos maravilhosas e feliz dia das mulheres! bjs, chica
The scenes around your home are beautiful!! But my heart goes out to you and everyone up north!!! My husband is from Cleveland and his sister is still there and they are at their wits end!!! They are too old to shovel the snow out of the driveway and it has been dreadful for them living in a bedroom community outside of Cleveland. Feel for the animals as well!
BUT- it is lovely!! Hurry up Spring!!
Hi Eileen, yours is a fascinating world. Feeders attracting scores of gorgeous birds.
So much of snow and i can imagine the tough job of clearing the driveway in the morning. Still the pictures look so lovely. I hope spring is on its way, though coming at a snail's pace.
I like the way you express yourself to give us some snapshots of your keen eye and dedication as a photographer.
that view looking up your street is just absolutely beautiful..
Didn't I say I don't want to see any more snow? :))
But these are really gorgeous, glad you showed them :))
Have a wonderful and sunny Sunday!

These are really amazing collages, Eileen.
So much snow, I hope for you that spring is coming soon.
Today here spring, lots of sun and good temperatures.
All captured perfectly.
Best regards, Irma
Today I heard a lot more birdsong than usual, so I guess they are saying that Spring is right around the corner! *fingers crossed*
love your cards and woodies, too! your pines are just gorgeous in the snow.
A Happy Women's Day to you, too! and a warm week of march! love to see the snow in your pics, but Spring is far from us, as well! we have a blue sky, but still too cold for a walk in nature! Warm greetings for you Eileen!
I'm loving all your snowy scenes. Wish you could send some of this our way! I'm sure you'd love to trade weather with us.
Hi Eileen,
Beautiful photos - the Cardinal is especially cute!
Your snow & ice covered streets look very cold. They are as always pretty in a picture :)
Stay warm and Have a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
Best day for all women, have a nice day.
Your photos are brilliant Eileen.
Ohhhh your world is so wonderful.
Eileen, your winter photos are so beautiful ! I love this red beak in the last photo !
Greetings :)
Lovely views and cute birds!
We should have that kind of beautiful, wintry days as well, but this year it's just raining and sleeting all the time.
Thank you for the beautiful photos and Happy Women's Day!
Your snow rivals what we have here, but I am sure it will all soon be gone - for both of us. The coming week is expected to be quite mild and I am sure that lots of migrants will be making their 2015 début.
What beautiful images! I love the snowy street views, the birds through the snowfall and the snow-laden pines.
Our snow is melting quickly now as the sun shines warmly most days, but I still love to watch snow pictures.
Happy Women's Day, Eileen. the last image of the female Cardinal looks so warm in comparison to your previous photos. Have a great week. Jo
Hello Eileen!!
Wonderful images from the area that you live!Like the view of the road with the snowy trees!Beautiful birds visiting your yard!!Like the Cardinal shot!!So cute bird!My favorite!!Happy Women's Day!!
Dimi...
I totally agree too, and your last photo says it so beautifully too. One thing though I never get tired of seeing winter in your photos, they are delightful. Enjoy your week and our spring into day light savings time to just make spring so much closer too! Hooray!
Beautiful photos, Eileen! Your world is indeed lovely...but I know you are tired of winter!
All these shots are wonderful but the last one is absolutely stunning.
lovely photos, specially the cardinals. I love the last photo, I never realised before that the feamle cardinal has such red 'eyebrows'!
I thoroughly enjoyed your post and pix, Eileen, "winter white" and all!...:)JP
Wow, that first shot is magical. It makes me wonder where the road leads.
Wonderful series
Beautiful photos.
Oh, my, I LOVe that first sceen...love your collage of the cardinals, and LOVE that last shot of the female...we have 50 degree weather today!
Divine :-)
Your neighborhood looks snow filled like mine, Eileen, except for those gorgeous cardinals, which I never see here :(
Hope spring will arrive soon! Have a good week!
Lovely photos ! We have had warm temps and will do for the rest of the week with sunshine so a good melt down is happening and I am soo happy about that so are the birdies . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
I love them all, and am jealous of your sharp cardinal pics.
Woodpeckers (and their fellow travelers...the nutchatches, tufted titmice, and chickadees) are my favorite yardbirds, too.
~
Beautiful cardinal shots! Love the snow!
Love the snow-covered pines. All the snowy shots are beautiful, but I'm with Miss Cardinal...enough already!
Great snow pictures... As you know, we've had a rough winter here --with more ICE than I've ever seen in my life. I love snow--but not ICE... I'll be glad when Spring gets here.
Love watching the birds this time of year especially --although I love the year 'round... Great pic's.
Hugs,
Betsy
The snow is beautiful. Probably our last for the year do you think? Great pictures !Eileen.it was warmer today and we had a lots of melting. We once again got down to the old dirty snow. I hope you enjoy that extra hour of daylight as much as I did. Have a wonderful week.
The look on that female Cardinal's face just says it all!
Such super shots, Eileen! Hard to believe other parts of the country still has snow.
Hi Eileen, Beautiful snow scenery - especially when Northern Cardinals are around. I love your post today! Simply lovely. Have a great coming week!
You dwell in beauty and share it so graciously!

Very pretty snowy pictures.
Very lovely photo of the road lined with snow-covered trees!
Lovely sights in your part of the world Eileen. Thanks for sharing so many beautiful things and have a great week :)
I specially like the image of the cardinals in the falling snow. Beautiful images!
Your street scene is beautiful and so to are the birds. The last one is so cute.
Hi Eileen,
fantastoc photos and Mosaic of your personal Wintertime world. So beautiful !
Best regards, Synnöve
visiting from mosaic monday, where I posted such different photos from yours, all about spring! What a contrast to see your beautiful snowy images. The bird photos are gorgeous. Luck you already having daylight saving. Ours doesn't start till the end of March.
Wow Eileen, it's all really beautiful!
I love your collage and interesting birds.
Have warm and wonderful week,
Ruby
Hope you had a great International Women's Day Eileen! Your first photo is so gorgeous it could be a Christmas card. Hope that it's not long till you see your Moose's toes and that you are soon eating blueberries! Have a great week.

Good morning Eileen. I'm sure you must be heading for some milder weather as we are. Lots of people in Ontario are petitioning to do away with changing the clocks back and forth since it was an energy saving practice brought out during WWI.
I'm looking forward to these milder days, it will assure us that spring is really coming:-)
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
Hi! It looks very cold.Your photos are very beautiful. I looked the moon in Okinawa. It was very beautiful too. It's nice to help people each other after the snow storm. Thaks for sharing.
Hi Eileen,
Beautiful pics of your very snowy surroundings; that glorious moon fits right in, with its cool, white facade! Hope you get some milder weather, soon. Have a great week!
Poppy
Blue sky and snow ... so pretty. And I love that close up of the female Cardinal! Great shot! Have a good day Eileen.
i love the winding road ... that is gorgeous snowy shot ... so pretty. you have a style of very heavy snow. i know it is terrible for the trees ... breaking limbs and such. but it is so great for us photographers. very cool! ( :
Truly beautiful photos, Eileen. i am not tired of snow pics yet. What a beautiful cardinal you have at your place.
All nice. Particularly liked the first shot. :)
Such incredible images. Wishing you a happy Monday, Eileen.
So interesting, this weather! We are having temperatures that we normally don't see until late May if we are lucky, that is. So very different from our daffodils and blooming trees is your snow covered area!
Eileen it seems you are becoming used to the snow since it is becoming a regular item....we both need a thaw as do the birds. It is lovely there though!
What beautiful shots. But BRRRRRR
Eileen really great !!! Beautiful pictures of the cardinals but also the snow. Woodpeckers, you also can shoot fantastic:-)
Wonderful winter shots full of snow. The birds look lovely with snow in the background.
What a wonderful world it is!
Great shots of the beauty around you, Eileen.
Have a fantastic week!
Your cardinals are so pretty!
Beautiful pics....
Oh wow Eileen, all that snow. We did see hardly any snow this winter and I am not really sorry about it. I love those lovely cardinals, that pretty red color.
Have a nice week.
Lovely snowy captures and the birds do look so cold -- they're all "fluffed" out!! Such a wonderful look at your chilly world, Eileen!! Thanks as always for sharing the beauty! Hope you have a great week!!
Such beautiful snowy scenes but I wouldn't want to have to clear the drive with all that snow.
Beautiful photos of the snow but I am sure it would be more comfortable watching it from behind your windows. I love the beautiful coloring of the Cardinals. Have a great week.
Wow! Wonderful photos!
Your pine trees are beautiful under their blanket of snow. We didn't have a pretty snow like that this year -- too much ice. I agree with Mrs. Cardinal about enough of winter already!
That's the most beautiful driveway ever...but probably the most difficult to drive through sine it needs lots of snow clearing up. Picture of birds are very inspiring.
Magnificent photography! Beautiful wintery scenes and love our feathered friends.
Happy Week to you,
artmusedog and carol
I love your road shot. How pretty with the snow pushed to the sides like that. Have a wonderful week.
Worth a Thousand Words
The snow canopy and Cardinals are my favourite.
Even though I'm sick and tired of winter and snow, you have captured some beautiful images. Love the shot of the full moon! I'm envious of your cardinals. I cannot seem to attract them to my backyard. Have a great week.
you really have a party in the backyard eileen!!! we are lucky to have so many evergreens, drenched in snow!!!
that is a cute image of the female cardinal, i think i saw a picture of the male, in the same spot on facebook!!!!
Your world is amazing!!
Have a nice week!
Love those beautiful birds color spots in all that winter.
Gorgeous series of photos, Eileen! :)
Beautiful winter shots but I'm sure you're right about the cardinal being as tired of winter as you are. So hard for the birds.
Hi Eileen,
Your photos are stunning and I love your collages. I use picmonkey too.
Your bird pics are beautiful and the cardinal is a great shot. The details are so striking.
Have a nice evening.
Hugs, CM
The snow in the trees makes pretty shots and the female cardinal photo is outstanding! Have a nice week, Eileen!
Beautiful scenes, but I do hope you get some more spring-like weather soon.
So pretty - I love the snow.
You are always so generous with your photos.
I don't envy you the snow, though it is truly beautiful in that first photograph and I guess it brings the wonderful selection of birds to your feeders. Love the vibrant shades of red in the Cardinals and Woodpeckers.. a visual feast to stop by your blog, Eileen!
Incredible shots! I love your collage presentations. :)
Such gorgeous scenes!
beautiful photos this time! Love the snowy bird scenes and the great moon one!
Dearest Eileen; Wow, your snow scene is SO BEAUTIFUL; snow covered trees are fabulous♡♡♡
I remember when I was young, we had piled up snow (not much, enjoying level) but we rarely have that. I DO wish your spring is coming and bring you warmth. The sweet cardinal in the last picture seems complaining the coldness p:-)
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Enjoyed the pics! Looks like your area has had a lot more to deal with than mine. The snow and ice on the trees and landscape is beautiful - but so dangerous.
Thanks for stopping by.
I really love your first image of the snow covered trees up along your street Eileen. So lovely. But I am sure your wild birds are looking forward to spring as much as you are!
Have a wonderful week.
Such stunning Winter shares and I love the freshly plowed lane in the first image, so beautiful and peaceful~
Oh that female cardinal! I wish I could put my finger in front of her, have her hop on and take her home to live inside! At least she has you to feed her!
