I want to wish everyone in the USA a Happy Thanksgiving, I am sure we all have many reasons for giving thanks.
My post and photos are from another visit to the Circle B Bar Reserve. As I mentioned previously Circle B is one of my favorite spots for walking and birding. We have been going there at least once a week if not more.

We see hawks around here, especially when there is snow on the ground. They look kind of fierce!
You must be in bliss to capture such great pictures.

Eileen! These shots are just beautiful today! Every one is so incredible! I didn't know herons ate turtles...poor little turtle, so helpless. Love the green heron with all the details so clear. The turtles coming out of the bog look like little monsters! Loved seeing all your critters today, enjoy your weekend :)

Wonderful Circle B! Great shot of the heron and his soft shell turtle lunch... and all the birds are amazing. The hard shelled turtles are really mossbacks aren't they! Wow, they're covered in green stuff. Green heron is a huge favorite of mine and that's a lovely portrait.
