Hello,
Wow, just one more day and March will be over. I am looking forward to April, the springs birds and visiting my old favorite Maryland birding spots. Since returning home, I have not been out much due mostly to the weather. I miss the Florida weather, sunny and warm. So I hope you do not mind seeing more Florida photos.
A pretty Roseate Spoonbill seen at Merritt Island NWR
Another Roseate Spooonbill, maybe a young one. The coloring was more whitish then the pretty pink.
Also at Merritt Island NWR, a group of Coots is called covers or a raft.
A flock of Red Knots at Cape Canaveral Seashore.
Terns on the beach at Cape Canaveral Seashore.
A pretty sky and reflection
Be kind, be thoughtful, be genuine, but most of all be thankful!
My thankful list for today:
I am thankful for my health. It is not perfect but it could be worse.
I am thankful for today.
I am thankful for warm weather.
Thank you for your visit and comments on my post. Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!
Thanks to Michelle for the meme Thankful Thursday
I am also linking up to Skywatch Friday, I hope to see you there.

I have always enjoyed watching a flock of terns on a beach, they are so much fun darting here and there and pecking away. I wonder if the lighter pink is because they are further north than we are, and eat different
ReplyDeleteIt has been 30+ years since we visited Merritt Island. I'd say it's about time we went back! Your photos are all the enticement I need to go back. I didn't know what a group of coots was called either. Hope you have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteI love that first photo showing those pretty, pink feathers. Thanks for linking up today and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe Roseate Spoonbill seems to be giving herself a hug.
ReplyDeleteWe all have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for all your wonderful images and would be even more thankful if you were still in Florida. One day you will run out of pictures and I will miss them dearly!!
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived down in Orlando, we went to MNR at least twice a month. There was an alligator there that they call Big John. He was at LEAST 14 feet long. He's always in the same place. For the longest time I thought they put a fake alligator there, but once he did move. He blinked his enormous eyes.
ReplyDeleteHello Eileen, I always love to see those Roseate Spoonbill of yours ... they're a gorgeous shade of pink.
ReplyDeleteThe flock of Red Knots on the seashore make a gorgeous pattern in your photograph... I love it.
Happy days and thank you for all the great posts you do. Cheers now :D)

ReplyDeleteThe terns with their shadows on the beach is a beautiful picture! If it makes you feel better, it is sunny and HOT here now -- really really hot, although of course it might be better up where y'all were. It's over 90 this week here and humid.
