Hello
These are some images from our time in Florida, one day we visited the Myakka River State Park after a visit to the Cape Coral area to see the Burrowing Owls. While watching the Burrowing Owls I also noticed the Loggerhead Shrike, seen below. It was also the spot were we saw the Monk Parakeets, I posted on a previous post.
Below is the Loggerhead Shrike seen on a wire near the ball field. It was a pretty blue sky above the Shrike.

Hello Eileen
Great sightings today!
THe Burrowing owls are the true stars of this post although the shrike is probably more difficult to "catch" with your camera!!
Enjoy your outings and keep well :)
Lindas estas fotografias.

Beautiful photos Eileen. I enlarged them and they became amazing! I love owls. I think it might be because their faces remind of cats...

Hi Eileen, a bit late getting to your post , but well worth it as always now that I finally have. I hadn't heard of the place you visited, so went into Google earth. My God that is a huge area of untouched land, I used the measurment tool, to find out it measures roughly 14 miles North to South, and similarly East to West.
Thank you for teaching me Somthing, Gordon.
Burrowing owls are new to me. Beautiful. Wonderful that you were able to get the shot.
Lovely blue skies and cool sightings
