I am thankful I live in an area where I can see various species of birds visiting my backyard.
I am thankful for my camera (Canon SX40) with it's awesome optical and digital zoom. It is getting old, I hope it hangs in there.
I am always thankful for your visits and your comments.

Hello,
Beautiful sunrise! The pink light is so wonderful, and so is Blue Jays. The Downy Woodpecker is very similar to the woodpeceker who lives here.
Happy Thursday!
Oh what a beautiful morning sky, Eileen! The colours are just breathtaking!
You have so many visitors it's a delight , I'm sure to watch them!,
Hope you are enjoying your day

Beautiful x 87!!! The wren is a gem. Stay warm! YAM xx
Good morning Eileen: The sunrise shots are gorgeous. And to think that routinely people never get up early enough to see such splendour. They have no idea what they are missing.
Hello Eileen!
Wonderful captures and great pictures of your yard birds and the beautiful sunrise!
Such lovely colors!Great shot of the moon!
Have a lovely day!

That little wren ... they are so cute. So happy you have such an array of birds and other wonderful things to be thankful for. Have a great weekend, Eileen.
That pink sky is sure pretty. How lucky to have that variety of birds so close.
Such wonderful colours and so many beautiful birds Eileen, a delight!
I would like to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas filled with peace and joy. I wish you all good health for the New Year. I am signing off now until Jan as I will have a house full until then, take care :)
Oh that sweet downey woodpecker. I always get a little thrill when I see one.
I was amazed to see a bald eagle in Southampton yesterday --- right in the middle of town!!!
You truly have much to be thankful for! I'm also thankful that you're sharing your beautiful bird and sky shots from your yard.
Percious images Eileen.
Beautiful essence in these photos.
I hear you on the SX40; a great bridge camera. Upgrades have something to offer but loss of other features, sigh.
I love all of the pinks and lavenders in your sky pics. I went outside and took a photo of the clouds this morning...just because it looked neat! Our little birds have returned to the feeders and they are eating like crazy! You've taken such beautiful photos of yours. Holiday hugs!
Lovely post and photos , I am Thankful for nature , my family , my camera and my blogging and Facebook friends . Thanks for sharing have a great weekend !
Those sunsets are as dazzling as you can get and I love each and every bird!
If the Juncos are down south it must be winter!
What wonderful pink skies! thanks for sharing your magnificent sunrise.
Oh, such pretty little birds. I could mistake that Carolina Wren for a Chipmunk with that coloring if I saw one skittering across the ground. Have a great day!
Wow, some wonderful shots Eileen. Thanks for sharing :)
Beautiful shots!!
Love the pink skies...so pretty! Backyard birds keep me sane when I itch to go on a birding trip but just can't get away...you have a wonderful list of backyard species.
I think the Downy Woodpecker is a pretty bird. We have them in our area too! I was surprised when I first saw one in my yard. Not knowing what it was, I took a picture and looked it up. They move pretty fast sometimes and it's hard to get a photo. The bluebirds are so pretty, aren't they? I get quite a few visits from them until it gets pretty cold, then the lovely Cardinals come out.
Very good pictures, Eileen...nice moon shot! Have a very nice weekend!
Great bird pictures, a fabulous moon and I LOVE a pink sky!
Lovely shots of these birds. I like the Juncos and your sunrise shots. Thanks for linking up today and I hope you have a great weekend!
Marvelous pix as always, Eileen. My SX 50 is the one the Pres "killed" zooming in on the eclipse this Summer...the ding-dong!!! I still use it even though the sensors are fried...:)JP
Such gorgeous skies! And wonderful winter birds, Eileen.
I love those skies, especially the pretty pink ones!
Beautiful pink/blue skies! Something very special when you can take photos like these right in your backyard!!
Truly Awesome pics. Great post.
Gorgeous pink skies!
Those colours are absolutely stunning.
What pretty pink skies!
I like wrens very much, how they keep their tail is amazing.
Have a happy weekend, Eileen!
Glad you live in a place surrounded by variety of birds and good nature to nurture! Lovely capture on the skies and birds on your deck… and excellent collage made with the photos.
Beautiful november glow
Oh I love these, E! I showed a downy yesterday! I love what you share with us

Oh I love that pinky sky. Great shots. Our Juncos look a bit different but are the same bird. Less black I think.
Enjoy!

Hello Eileen,
The gorgeous colours in your early morning photos are breathtaking ... what a wonderful sight.
You've captured a lovely lot of birds - the Robin is very special... that's a sweet photo amongst the berries.
Season's greetings and have a wonderful Christmas time, Sue xx
Have a wonderful weekend.
Worth a Thousand Words
Wow! What a stunning pink sky! Brilliant shots as always, Eileen.

Hi Eileen It was so good to see you again. I love your sky and birdphoto's like I did before.
Great birds and skies!
What a post, alternating bird shots and sky shots. Such a super sharp photo of the moon. My "old" camera is a SX40 and I don't think anything can beat it for moon shots, plus it is concert legal. My new camera is nice but not as versatile.
wow, that is one gorgeous sky. Love the colors in the first ones.
Loved to see the little wren They have been unseen for a year now :( I hope ot will be better next year.
I would like to get a good shot of a woodpecker soon but they always hide behind the treetrunks :(
Sorry to be a slow coach to admire your Carolina Wren! Gorgeous :)
Wren x
The woodpecker is a welcome sight to see.
The pink light is just beautiful, so are all of your photographs.
All the best Jan
Hi there, Beautiful THANKFUL post... Love the sky colors in that first picture collage...
We have almost the same birds as you do --except that I have never seen a Junco at our feeders EXCEPT when we have snow... Then they will visit!!!!!
We do have a ROBIN --a bit fat one who comes back to the feeders every winter... He probably would prefer the mealworms which I have for the Bluebirds --but he's too big to get into the little dome feeder... ha
Merry Christmas.
Hugs,
Betsy
