Happy December
Wishing everyone a happy new month. My son, hubby and I all have birthdays in December. My 62nd birthday is today, my son's 26th birthday is the 7th and hubby's 62nd birthday is on the 10th.
It is looking like winter around here, the trees are bare and the days are colder. Next week at this time we will be dog-sitting for my son. He is going on a cruise and will be enjoying some warmer weather in the Western Caribbean. We will be enjoying our two grand-dogs for a week.
I enjoy getting outside for a walk whenever the weather cooperates. On Nov 25th we had a warm day and very sunny. Hubby and I took a walk on the fire road to the lake, this walk was 2.4 miles round trip from our house.

This cloud reminds me of a seahorse.
We saw a couple of Buffleheads, below is the female Bufflehead duck.

Also on Nov 25th the Screech Owl was again sitting in our rhododendron bush and banged against the window once. I love seeing this owl but I do not want it hurting itself fighting it's reflection on my windows. I keep hoping it will move on. I am not seeing the owl every day, which is a good thing. BTW, I do have decals on the window, they do not seem to be helping.

Happy birthday to you today, Eileen and to your husband and son as they occur. As for decals on windows, I think they help a little, but breaking up the outline with dots seems to work best in my experience. I am wondering whether the fact that the owl is active at night has anything to do with it. We will have to tell him that he is a “Wise old owl” and that he had better stop doing it!

Eileen - belated happy birthday, and please extend those wishes to your son and hubby as well. I am so glad you had nice weather for your walk - the resulting mosaic is really special. So sad the owl keeps 'fighting' the window - I read somewhere that the best way to deflect birds from windows are narrow strips of tape arranged vertically on the window - like prison bars. The birds see them but our eyes tend to 'ignore' them. Might be worth a try just on that window(s). Thanks for continuing to support Mosaic Monday!

Happy Birthday Eileen, and also to your hubby and son. How neat that you will be looking after your son's dogs while he is on a cruise. I wish him smooth sailing. Sounds lovely going to the warmer climate at this time of the year.
I had fun looking through these photos, thank you so much for sharing them. Even with decals our birds tend to get confused. I put them all over our back windows, which is our problem area, and sometimes they don't help even then. I envy you your owl by the way, would be over the moon to get one in the garden.

We are chock-a-block with celebrations in December as well!
Mine was the 4th, my son's b-day is the 11th, our anniversary is 23rd, our eldest daughter anniversary is 27th, and our youngest daughter b-day is the 31St. Such a busy month all on its own.
