Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
These are images from our visit on May 18th to the Susquehanna River State Park in Maryland. The Conowingo Dam is known for attracting Bald Eagles, a Great Blue Heron rookery and possibly Cormorants nesting. The birds must find the fishing to be easy right below the dam.
This is one of the 3 Bald Eagles we saw in the trees at the parking lot.
Double-crested Cormorants perched on rocks in the middle of the river.
Way across the river the Bald Eagles were hanging out with the Great Blue Herons. I see 4 Bald Eagles and at least 3 Great Blue Herons.
I missed seeing the Baltimore Orioles but I did see an Orchard Oriole.
The river trail is also known for seeing spring warblers, the only warbler I was able to get clear shots of was the Yellow-throated Warbler.
I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments !
Here is a list of my linky parties:
Also visit: I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the gracious host: Anni.

Dearest Eileen; Bald Eagles look really brave and courageous, aren't they♪ Haha, Warbler has just caught a meal; wish to see the colorful bird like him or her. Cormorant is one of the regular bird here; but that many p;-)
Thank you so much for these great collection of birdies and hosting.
Wishing you will have a wonderful weekend and new week.

Great shot of the eagle. Was the Yellow-throated Warbler holding a twig or an insect between its beak?
Hello Eileen,
Beautiful images! The Bald Eagle is so beautiful.
Happy Weekend!
They are all nice, but the Bald Eagles are imposing!
Very nice shots.
Have a great weekend full of captures!
Hello Eileen,
What a great series of photos.
The bald eagle is my favorite here.
Do you want to add my link, I can't do it.
Best regards, Irma
Love seeing the Eagles, and the Warbler on the fence is so cute!
Have a wonderful weekend!
The bald eagle, vilken fågel!
Allt gott!
That bald eagle is amazing!
Nice spring birds. I had only a brief visit to Illinois this spring, now that we have moved back to Florida full-time. I heard the Orchard Oriole up there but never caught sight of it. Saw some warblers but not the Yellow-throated, which now nests there. Thanks for hosting us!
Fabulous photos of the eagles, but I just loved the tiny Yellow-throated Warbler with a bug in his beak. So cute :)
Have a lovely weekend and thanks for hosting Eileen.
I have not seen any eagles lately, But in one of the lakes there are lots of cormorants :) Luckily away from disliking people. :) Loved to see the Oriole and the warbler. :)
Wishing you a fine week. :)
It is really great to see the Bald Eagles coming back in numbers like this. They are magnificent birds. We are fortunate to have several pairs nesting locally.
...those eagle images are wonderful. Enjoy your day.
Jealous of the eagles! I wish I could see them that close. We just had a Baltimore Oriole hanging around yesterday.
I would have felt I had died and gone to heaven to see all those! The war led is so pretty.
Belas fotografias, gostei de ver.
Um abraço e um bom mês de Junho.

Such beautiful birds all on one trip! Great place for capturing their photos!
Eagles in there with everyone else...how amazing! What fun pics to look at when you got home! Love that beautiful Warbler too! Happy weekend!
Hi Eileen. That must have been a terrific day to see those eagles and up so close too. The only time I see eagles in when we travel several hundred miles to the Mediterranean. Have a great weekend and thanks for the links today.
That's a magnificent eagle, Eileen! Not much chance of seeing many eagles here in Melbourne!
PS: Thank you for hosting, Eileen!
PPS: Have a great new week!
You have the most amazing birding sightings! Thanks for hosting so faithfully. Have a great weekend. (Mind you, when you are retired, every day is a weekend!)
Love seeing eagles, great variety of birds. The Orioles are lovely right now, lots in the garden enjoying the feeders and oranges.
that last eagle is smiling for the camera. amazing to see the herons and eagles together on the rocks.
Great shots, Eileen. Love the Eagles and the bunch(?) of Cormorants.

Excellent capture and great bird watching from the park! Looks the place provide rich source for eagles and herons.
Have nice weekend
the eagles are magnificent, the pictures are gorgeous...they must be use to having people around!! i also loved the yellow-throated warbler, such a neat picture!!
have a great weekend eileen, many thanks for hosting!!
I think I mentioned, Eileen, I follow the Dale Hallow eagle cam and have learned so much about eagle behaviour.
I've gotten one very bad shot of an eagle here so I admire these captures you have. I'm a little surprised to see the eagles sharing space with the herons.
Hi Eileen, Thanks for taking us along on your visit to the Susquehanna River State Park. Neat photos of the Bald Eagles, Double-crested Cormorants, Great Blue Heron, Orchard Oriole, and Yellow-throated Warbler. It's interesting to me the way the various birds share the little rock island. The Warbler may have just captured some lunch. :-) Another fine post and thank you for hosting Saturday's Critters! John
The shot with multiple eagles is priceless!
Wow, that bald eagle is impressive.
To me there is no bird so grand as our bald eagle! Great shots.
Beautiful shots, I especially the Bald Eagle, isn't it so wonderful.
The eagles and the herons form an interesting gang, Eileen! ;-)
The eagles are magnificent!
Amazing images! You are very talented....
My best regards from Romania!
The Eagles will always be a wonder to see since growing up with none! Love that shot of the Yellow throated in the fence.
Very nice !

Amazing shots of the eagle.
Nice pics of the Bald Eagle, we saw a pair on a water source near our house but I only had my iPhone with me. So no great pics like yours.
Wow - so many birds. I've missed reading your blogs and I'm happy to be feeling up to reading blogs again. Happy week ahead.
Really surprised to see great blue herons and eagles side by side.
Such wonderful shots of that majestic Eagle, Eileen. Hope your weekend is going well. Happy June to you!
Wow! Bald eagles by the parking lot! And hanging out with Great Blue Herons! Marvelous.
Bald eagles are so majestic, and your photos of them are marvelous Eileen. As are ypur other birds.

Have a wonderful day and enjoy the upcoming new week.
That's great shot of the yellow throated Warbler
Oh Eileen, the eagles don't even look real, what great photos!
As for the Cormorants, your photos make me wonder if that's what I see on the rocks on the Potomac when I cross over to Maryland. --I've always wondered what the were. Sometime I'll have to stop and get a better look.
Hope you've had a good weekend, and didn't get too much of the storms that blew through. They missed us.
Wow !!!!! Really super nice pictures of the great eagle !!! Very impressive. The other birds are of course very beautiful but this impressive eagle really impresses me :-) great to see.
Greetings, Helma
