Our World, My World

Happy Monday,

To my blog friends in Canada,   Happy Thanksgiving!

After my son's wedding, my hubby's sister and her husband from Florida stayed at our house for a few days. We had fun showing our neighborhood to our BIL. We all  went on a few walks with the dogs on the local fire roads. Also we all met up with hubby's cousin who lives in Baltimore, we all had fun walking around the Baltimore Harbor and the Federal Hill neighborhood. Lunch at Nick's Seafood Restaurant was delicious, Crab Cakes in Maryland are the best.

The Prettyboy Dam and reservoir, Gunpowder River, Lake views with Nibble and Chewy.

The Prettyboy Dam,

Our neighborhood, the Prettyboy Reservoir.

Nibbles and Chewy going for a walk.

Mosaic of Baltimore, the Harbor, Oriole baseball stadium, Baltimore National Aquarium, Flag, Federal Hill Neighborhood, Raven's Ray Lewis sculpture, Raven's football stadium, harbor.

Baltimore's Harbor, it is nice to see new buildings being built. Seeing the cranes is a good sign.

Baltimore's Federal Hill flag, the Federal Hill provided a panoramic view during the War of 1812. This flag is the 13 star Colonial Flag. The Betsy Ross Flag has the stars in a circle.

Please check out and visit the following memes and links. I hope to see you there.

  5. You should send these pictures of Baltimore to Donald Trump and invite him to accompany you on a walk through this rat-infested hell hole, maybe invite Elijah Cummings to come along too.

Port cities everywhere are starting to refurbish their rundown, waterside areas... and transfroming them into premium (non-affordable) dez-rez suburbs. Love those dam and woods images! YAM xx

    1. Hello Yam, you are right on the non-affordable. The condo and apartments in this harbor area are non-affordable, except for the 1%. Thanks for the comment and visit. Have a great day!

  9. We were so busy I missed Saturday's Critters!
Well, Eileen, the 'holiday' is today. Everything is closed. The kids have to do Thanksgiving at their house on Sunday, as that is when Caitlin's brother-in-law is off work. JL's mom is staying with them during the election to help out.

  41. Hi Eileen!

Underbart att få visa upp så vackra omgivningar för besökare, förstår att ni hade en trevlig tid tillsammans. Jag vet att du uppskattar naturen och delar med dig av kunskapen till dina gäster.

    Ha det så gott!

  42. That's an unusual name for a dam! I wonder where that came from, perhaps because it is far from pretty? Sounds and looks like a lovely family day out, complete with Nibbles and Chewy.

    1. Hello Phil, years ago the watershed and reservoir was farm land. The dam was created in 1933. The reservoir and dam are named after a horse, a white colt named Prettyboy. It is a sad story, the horse died in a nearby flooding stream! Thanks for the visit and comment.
