Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
These are some of my yard birds, Monarch butterflies and a couple of neighborhood birds from our walk on the fire road. They were seen from Sept 25 to Sept 29th.
On Sept 25th, the female Red-bellied Woodpecker at my suet ball feeder.
Sept 27th Northern Cardinal trying to hide from my camera.
Chipmunk caught in the act, the mouth shape looks like a peanut.
On Sept 29th we walked on the fire road for about 3 miles round trip. The next 4 photos are from 9/29. This Northern Flicker was calling out to another, when I found it sitting high in a tree top.
Off the fire road, I was watching a few birds eating these berries. Below is a Tufted Titmouse.
I am guessing this is a Red-tailed Hawk, I see a dark belly band and dark tips on the wings and brown head.
A close cropped photo of the hawk in flight.
I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments !
Here is a list of my linky parties;

ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a drop in the bird population here although I did see a flock of robins who I think were getting ready to head south together. Thanks for hosting us, Eileen!
ReplyDeletemy first laugh out loud of today, that chipmunk made me laugh. so cute and it does look like he has a whole peanut I sideways... I love the cardinal peeking out between the leaves.
ReplyDeleteJust go for a walk and you find many interesting critters. You might have to work a bit but they're there like the cardinal.
ReplyDeleteHello Eileen. That cardinal made me laugh. He's looking straight down your lens as if to say "I'm not coming out until you move that". Your flicker pictures are just super and what a pity we can't hear their calling to each other.

I love when my chipmunks try to jam two peanuts in their cheeks. They are so frantic to gather what they can. Love your array of birds too.
ReplyDeleteWe are seeing fewer and fewer birds around here. Most have headed south and now it's just the winter ones left, which have already started to visit my feeders.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend,
Andrea

ReplyDeletenawww the squirrel's cheeks are full of food.
ReplyDeleteThe chipmunk is so funny stuffing his mouth! And your birds are fabulous. I would love to see and photograph a titmouse. But late,y I can’t even ever seem to be able to photograph the birds I *do* see.
ReplyDeleteHello Eileen! As always, fun photos, especially of the chipmunk who you caught in the act, whatta cutie! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen!
Love those Flickers - I have a real fondness for all kinds of Woodpecker, but we dont have any in Australia!
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
They are all great photographs, but my favourite is the Chipmunk :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Lovely photos, I like the shy cardinal hiding from the camera
