Saturday's Critters # 309

Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

I am sharing some of the birds and critters I saw on our North Carolina Blue Ridge Parkway road trip. The next two photos are a couple of White-tailed Deer seen along the parkway.

A Black Bear waiting to cross the road, I stopped and waited for him to cross safely.

Blue Ridge Parkway birds, Pied-billed Grebe at the lake, Pigeons on the waterfall cliff, White-breasted Nuthatch, Possibly Phoebe and bottom right corner a Carolina Chickadee.

The Green Anoles were seen at the Chimney Rocks State Park.

I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments !

Here is a list of my linky parties;

Also visit:  I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the gracious host: Anni.

  23. I'm so glad you got critters...somehow I never see them on the Parkway these days...perhaps because not early morning or late afternoon travels, or just too much traffic around Asheville. I'll keep trying! Thanks for comments on my blogs! Email me if you're coming down this way again and I would love to meet you for coffee or tea!

  25. Nice photos. This week as I looked out the sewing room window a young buck with a small rack sauntered past just across the road.Our daughter has learned to live with the possibility of black bears in the mountains of Tennessee.

  26. It's difficult for me to imagine seeing bears crossing the road. Around here it's just cats and the occasional hedgehog. LOL.

    Enjoyed your photos today Eileen, especially that lovely young deer. Take care, and don't crash into those bears.

  33. Always great to see deer! Very nice assortment of birds, too.
    It has been a long time (decades) since I have seen a bear here, and that is OK with me!

  36. What great photos, Eileen! It's always exciting and fun to see a black bear, or any bear! :-)

    And I finally got my feeders up and filled. I had to buy a new one - The squirrel ate the old one that I'd left hanging out all summer, so I bought a "squirrel proof" one. The birds are slowly finding it. Yay for me.

    Enjoy your week,and take care!
