Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
For my critter post, I have mostly birds and two cute furbabies we met while walking on the River to Sea Beach Park and near the Washington Oaks State Park. Osprey eating a meal at the top of a light pole, Starlings and a nearby Hawk.
The Osprey watching the Starlings above on the pole.
We saw a lot of Sanderlings and Ruddy Turnstones.
Ruddy Turnstones on the coquina rocks near Washington Oaks State Park.
I am guessing at the id below, the Royal Tern.
Dogs just love hubby, we met these two goldendoodles while in Florida. They were cute and friendly.
Thanks to all my visitors and for all the wonderful comments. I appreciate everyone who loves critters and has linked up their post.

DeleteI like how you captured the flow of the waves on the rocks. Nice birds and cute pups. Starlings always hang around our local Osprey nest. They know how the Ospreys never quite finish a meal and provide them plenty of leftovers.
ReplyDeleteHello Ken, I guess the Starlings were looking for a leftover meal. Thanks for the comment. Have a great weekend!
DeleteFriendly dogs are wonderful, and I seem to be a bit of a magnet too, but one jumped up the other day and coated me with mud from his paws from the chest down. That I can do without!

DeleteI am all about MUTTS as in Heinz 57 mutts, but if I were going to buy a breed, it would be the golden doodle or the labradoodle. they are so sweet and cute... we saw the biggest Owl we have ever seen, in Washington Oaks state park. a lovely park and the owl appeared to be 2 or 3 foot tall, sitting up in the oak, turning his head 360 degrees watching us.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandra, I love all dogs. Including the mutts. I wish I saw the owl at Washington Oaks. Thanks, have a great day!

Hello Debbie! Thanks so much for the link, the visit and the comment. I hope you are having a great weekend!
DeleteHello Eileen. I think the Starling was hoping to pick up a few scraps when the Osprey had finished the meal? Those goldendoodles are lovely but they do look quite a handful. Maybe best to let other people own them and you and hubby enjoy the occasional meeting? The terns picture is super and although we don't have Royal Terns over here, I'm sure that is what they are.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the weekend link up.
Hello Phil, my hubby thinks the same as you when it comes to owning another dog. Thanks for the Tern id confirmation. I appreciate your visit and comment. Enjoy your day and weekend!
DeleteLovely birds, Eileen. I've never learned shore birds identification...somehow they all look pretty much alike to me.
ReplyDeleteHello Barbara, the winter shore birds look so different. I have a hard time. Thanks for the comment and visit. I hope you are having a great weekend!

DeleteCute pups! I don't think I have ever seen a Royal terns, but then I have a small assortment to choose from out here. I need to go out to the lake and see what I can see. Have a great weekend!

DeleteHi Eileen, Nice work on another fine Saturday's Critters here. Thank you for taking us along on your visits to the walk to River to Sea Beach Park and Washington Oaks State Park. For some reason, I always thing the Royal Terns are a strange looking bird. I cannot for the life of me see what about them makes me think they are strange.
ReplyDeleteThe golden doodle acts like he thinks your hubby has a treat just for it.
If I were that Starling, I'd be a bit nervous around that Osprey - But I guess not!
ReplyDeleteOf course good shots of the sea birds, and I love those fun 'doodles!
Lovely selection of photos. Great to see the osprey and the starligs together! The last photo made me smile, that's how dogs greet me and Crafty Green Boyfriend too!
ReplyDeleteSuper selection of photographs here Eileen, a pleasure to look at.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
All the best Jan
