Saturday's Critters # 373

 Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

Hello and happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

These are some of my back yard birds seen Jan 26th and a bunny seen on Jan 24th.

1. I assume this bunny is finding food in my yard and has a warm place to sleep on the cold winter days.

2.  I have posted previously about the birds I see out my "treadmill" window, I labeled these post as Treadmill birding.  My treadmill died, now I have a new exercise bike now next to the same window.  While riding my bike, I noticed a few American Robins at the edge of our yard and the street. One Robin was perched right outside the window at the rhododendron and on the gutter of our house.

3. The male Cardinal with two male Purple Finches.

4. The male Northern Cardinal in front of a partially hidden Purple Finch.

5. Two pretty male Purple Finches.

Thanks to all my visitors and for your comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves critters and has linked up their critter post.

Here is my linky:

  20. Nice way to get your exercise. Cute Cottontail. It's been almost two years since I have seen one. Our Marsh Rabbits have dark fur and tails. So far this winter I have only seen one robin and have no hope of spotting a Purple Finch. Now that we have had both COVID shots we can at least start to dream about flying north in the spring.

  43. Nice that you have such a good view while riding your stationary bike! I only learned this year that robins don't really migrate - they just switch locations (locally relatively speaking) to where there is good for them. One day I looked out and there had to be close to a dozen male cardinals by our sunflower seed feeder! What a sight! I haven't seen a bunny in ages.

  70. Good morning Eileen, I'm sorry to be late, but just so you know I started this post even before Saturday, but my working weekends, adding the frozen tundra temps, -16 when I arrived at work, brrr and this Super Bowl weekend was busy, way too busy, and yet we all survived. I especially like your bunny opener of a photo, it's what was heavy on my mind with these horrible temps and the snow that fell it's hard for them to find food! Great critters you share and make reading these photos so wonderful! Everyone does well, and so we all do well! Take care.

  72. Dear Eileen, no comments are allowed in your new post, so I'll just comment here ;-) We take photos for the same reason - there are wonderful sights that want to be captured. You have preserved a magical morning sky! My husband and I are evening people, we almost only manage to photograph sunsets, but sometimes they are also stunningly beautiful. Isn't it wonderful to be able to enjoy these beautiful colors and cloud formations later and again and again?!?!
