Saturday's Critters # 530

Welcome to Saturday's Critters! Hello and Happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

These images are from the middle of January. It was  our first real snow of the year. We had a week of super cold days, temps ranged from the lows teens to low twenty's. I've been putting out the peanuts in the shells and some of the suet peanut nuggets that the birds love.

1. Below are the female Downy Woodpecker, a Tufted Titmouse and the Dark-eyed Junco.

2. The Titmouse found some suet crumbs to eat.

3. The Downy Woodpecker is also enjoying some leftover suet crumbs.

4. Jan 16th was our first real storm in years. Last year we did not even have to use our shovel once. The Tufted Titmouse is one of my common yard birds. They like both the peanuts in the shell and the suet nuggets.

5. They are hungry birds when the snow is coming down.

6. The female Red-bellied Woodpecker also love the peanuts and the suet nuggets.

7. A cute photo of the Dark-eyed Junco with some snowflakes on it's beak.

8. The White-throated Sparrows are another common bird for me in the winter months.

After the snowstorm, we had a pretty sunset. We couldn't be there for our grandson's first time playing in the snow. It looks like they had a fun time!

Bonus, the grandsons celebrated both their birthdays with a joint party on Feb 3rd. Wyatt will be 3 on Feb 15th and Mason was 2 on Jan 24th. We also had an announcement they will be getting a baby sister and we will have a granddaughter. Happy Times!

Thank you for sharing your critters and post!

Thanks to all my visitors and for your past and present comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves and respects wildlife. Thank you for linking up a critter post.

Hello Eileen, Nick from MAP. Lovely photos of your winter birds again and cute photos of your grandkids. We are having a relatively mild summer, with enough rain to keep the grass green as you can see from my photo. Thanks for hosting and have a great new week!

Lovely birds. They fly so far for winter territory.
But congrats on the grandies!

Your bird species exactly match the most common at our feeders right now. Our snow from that storm system, though the first "shovel-able," was completely melted by warm rainfall the next day. Your grandsons are adorable. Of our eight grandchildren, the youngest is 16 years old.

Hello, again I admire your close-ups, dear Eileen. I particularly like the Red-bellied Woodpecker. The look says: I'm hungry and the weather could be better. But that's probably a bit too humanized, isn't it?

Thanks for sharing with MosaicMonday I'm very happy about it again. It's Sunday evening here by the way. My husband is still working from homeoffice and I have time to look at the pictures and read the posts in peace! To share in the fun of the grandchildren... simply adorable to watch.

I wish you and your family a pleasant week, hugs
