1. May 25th, we've been visiting the York Pennsylvania Great Egret and Black-crowned Night Heron rookeries for years now. It seems like the number of nests have gone down over the years. It is still a treat to see these beautiful birds and their babies.
2. I watched an Osprey circle the lake, it is neat to see it hovering trying to decide if it should dive for a fish.
3. Below are a few of the Great Egrets perched on their nest high in the tree tops.
4. Some of the Great Egret chicks were getting big already.
5. The Black-crowned Night Herons were nesting on a little island in the middle of the lake. We saw a few adult Night Heron which are white and black and the juveniles look brownish.
6. I believe these are Mallard hybrid ducks. The ducklings were so cute.
7. There were lots of Canada Geese families, the goslings were different sizes. I assume they grow fast.
8. We saw a few Slider Turtles at the lake, some in the water and some sunning themselves.

During an early morning walk in Doolin, I came across this White-throated Dipper in a small creek.
Update Wednesday July 16th on hubby: On Wednesday it was day 3 of Dialysis for hubby and then hopefully they will find what they call a community chair for outpatient dialysis. He seems to be more with it, a little weak. He still wants out. He does not like hospitals.
Update on Thursday July 17th, Hubby will have one more dialysis session at the hospital Saturday July 19th which is today and then next week he will start his sessions at a local outpatient center.
I am linking up to Heidrun's Mosaic Monday I hope you can stop by and visit Heidrun and check out the Mosaic Monday post.

Hi Eileen, I love ❤️ the red eared sliders and the egrets. I love the entire series. So fun to see our Canada 🇨🇦 geese making their rounds. Gorgeous photos. Thank you so much for sharing and I hope you have a wonder filled weekend 😊
The Egrets and the chicks are my pick with those adorable alpacas a close second. Missed your post with the dialysis update, hope it is doing what it should. I have been reading and not commenting much, Hugh has been in hospital and I found the visiting travel so tiring. He is home now, with a lot of medication changes.
Good morning, dear Eileen. First of all, best wishes for your dear husband, that everything is done to his satisfaction. It really isn't easy, as we know from our own experience. All the best to you too!
And of course I am happy about the cute young ducks here today in the Post. Baby animals are always cute to look at.
Thank you for sharing and for hosting. Greetings by Heidrun
Those Great egrets are so elegant and beautiful. Thank you for sharing them, Eileen.
Oh, the blue sky... And the Great Egrets look so... beautiful.
One wants to cuddle those Alpacas.
All the best, best wishes for your hubby, gig hugs... I sure know how it is to have a very sick one.
To better days soon!
I hope the transition to outpatient dialysis brings your husband more comfort and stability; also, what a lovely moment with the White-throated Dipper amid the ongoing challenges
Seeing the great egret chicks for the 1st time! Thank you!
Have a super weekend!
Thanks for sharing your critters images. They are all lovely. I like the Osprey very much. The White-throated dipper can be seen in winter I southern Finland, whereas he moves to the north in summer.
Good luck with your husband! I wish him well!
Wonderful collection of critter sightings, Eileen! It's always a treat to see your observations, both recent and from your travels.

Oh goodness, I seem to have missed the news that your husband is under treatment; sending my best wishes for his improvement. As for your critter shots - the young of any species always lifts the heart, is it not?! Take care, YAM xx
Hello Eileen,
This is a beautiful series of photos and collages.
The Canada geese with their young are absolutely beautiful.
The alpacas are also beautifully photographed, with a stunning view behind them.
I wish you a wonderful weekend.
Greetings Irma
Dear Eileen,
what a lovely collection of wildlife sightings! The baby Great Egrets are sooo fluffy 🥰 – such a joy to see, though it's sad to hear their numbers are declining... I first saw Night Herons in Costa Rica, but I don’t think I spotted any juveniles.
All the other animals you’ve shared – from the Osprey to those charming Slider Turtles, and your sweet Ireland flashback photos featuring the woolly alpacas and the adorable White-throated Dipper – truly warmed my heart. 💚🦉🐢
Your last paragraph made me realize that I must have missed the news about your husband needing dialysis, as I haven’t been blogging much lately. I’m so glad to hear that his sessions will now take place at a local outpatient center – that must be a relief! 🙏💪
Sending hugs from Austria and all the best wishes for your hubby,
Traude

Firstly, all the best for hubby. It's not easy, I know.
We had the same issue with herons and wind storms, I don't know where our local herons are nesting now.
A lovely array of birds. Thanks for sharing them.
...Eileen, it's sad to read of your husband medical situation. I wish both of you the best.

Thank you for hosting this party! I love seeing your photos each week! -Marci @ Old Rock Farmhouse
Loved seeing the baby birds as they begin their lives with caring parents. Then I was surprised to suddenly see llamas...who are beautiful in a different way. Thanks for hosting Saturday Critters!
Oops, I meant alpacas!
