Fireroad walk

Hello,

I have a mish-mash collection of photos from my yard and some from around the lake all taken around the middle of September.

I am not sure of this bird's id, maybe an Eastern PeWee or unknown flycatcher.

During our walk to our lake, it was a beautiful day and an awesome looking sky.

A neat shaped cloud.

My morning glory fence with some pokeberry for the birds mixed in. You have to look hard for our the chained link under all the greenery. We let some of our yard go wild just for the birds and critters.

More Pokeberries.

My moon shot from Sept 14th. I missed the harvest full moon our skies on that day were cloudy!

I hope you enjoyed your visit and my post. I appreciate your nice comments. Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!

Here is a list of linky parties for part of the week, I hope to see you there.

Thanks to Theresa @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences.
Thank you to Sylvia, Yogi and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday.
Thanks to Tom the host of The Barn Collective

  2. Hi Eileen, I am glad to find out what pokeberries look like. We see a lot of those on our street. How nice that the birds have a safe place in your yard. Clouds prevented us from viewing the moon too so I enjoyed your photo. I know you are enjoying pretty Autumn skies during your walks. Have a nice day.

I love a yard with wild edges; the pokeberry is pretty as well as useful to the birdies! I haven't seen the moon for over a month either - if NZ is the land of the long white cloud, Scotland is the land of the permanent grey!!! YAM xx

  16. Hi Eileen! Love the Morning Glory fence and pokeberries. I'm so glad you leave them for the birds. Animals just don't get it when humans rip out the good stuff. *smiles* That moon shot is gorgeous and amazing.

  21. Hello Eileen!:) Lovely sky shots,...the second one is really beautiful. I wonder if Morning Glory and Pokeweed have a relationship going on,...no kidding. The Pokeweed on the farm grows side by side with Morning Glory, and now I'm seeing it here!!! I think that they may be beneficial to each other. Yours look very beautiful, and I can see the fence just fine. Love the shot of the Pokeberry hanging over the fence.

  31. Some lovely photo's Eileen, I especially like your second one, and agree it is a neat shaped cloud in your third one. Sometimes it is lovely to take time out and gaze at the clouds and the shapes they can make.

  36. A pokeberry plant grew near the fence at the back of the yard. When I learned it was poisonous, I got rid of it. There appears to be one growing on the property line with our neighbor. They have several small children, so I'll check on that tomorrow while it is fresh in mind. So glad you shared this today.

  45. Hi Eileen, As always, you have posted some neat photos! I always especially enjoy your moon photos. I have tried to get some good shots of the moon from my deck and have found it to be a bit harder than I would have expected. On a good clear night the full moon is so bright that it becomes a challenge to get the exposure right, even for the automatic setting. My larger camera has a zoom up to equilivent 400mm but I can't get as sweet a photo as you do. I wonder what power of lens you are using? I also enjoyed your flower, sky, and bird photos. Thanks for sharing! Have a happy weekend ahead!
