Hummingbirds and noisy Catbird

For my Camera Critters  and Friday Ark  post I have my youtube video of the Hummingbird war and a noisy catbird in my backyard.

During the video you can hear the hummingbirds little chattering and a noisy catbird and later in the video you can hear a Pileated woodpecker call.

I believe this is a juvenile Catbird

Two of the many Ruby Throated Hummingbirds in my yard this morning. I have a feeling these are two juvenile hummers. They make the cutest sounds, you can hear if you watch my video.

I hope you enjoyed my hummingbirds and catbird. To see more cute and wonderful critters please check out Misty Dawn's Camera Critters and check out all the animals boarding the Friday Ark.

Thanks to Misty for hosting these fun memes and thank you for visiting my post. I hope your weekend is great and happy birding.

I've never seen a hummingbird. They are so cute with such a long beak. I can hear why it is called a cat bird.

Beautiful photographs! Love the hummers, though I've not been successful in luring any to my yard yet. ;)

that's terrific...
we can see & hear the hummers fighting with each other to get at the feeders. like little fighter pilots! they can get pretty aggressive with each other.
love the BIG pileateds! last year i took a video of one hammering away...you could see the sawdust flying!!

Hello Eileen! Of course I enjoyed them. I seldom hear and see the sound of the birds. I find them relaxing and so comforting after a tiring day.

Lovely video and photos:-) Hummingbirds fascinate me as we don't have anything like them in UK.

Such a peaceful video---I have to get outside very early to have peace and quiet like that.I just came in the house because the neighbor decided to share her YAPPING dog with us. Yap Yap Yap.
This goes on for HOURS sometimes. I don't know why some dog owners are so inconsiderate.
Thanks for sharing your piece of heaven. Enjoy the quiet.

Hi Eileen, Oh how I just love your post today. Catbirds are tremendously good birds. They behave a bit like the Mockingbirds but I don't hold that against them. I think your shot of the hummingbirds is sweet (pun intended). Have an excellent day!

I love what Michael said. Perfect! Great captures. We've got at least one juvenile catbird & it's driving me insane. Unfortunately we don't have any offsetting hummers. It's just loud season here right now.

We don't have Ruby Throats here, but I enjoy the hummers we do have; they certainly do fight over their food!

Thanks for sharing the video and photos. We have more hummingbirds this year than we've had in the past, but we rarely see more than one at a time at the feeders.

The hummers here got along well until a couple of weeks ago and my Mom and I both noticed them fighting to get at the feeder. I only have two. I suspect they are thinking about that long trip they are going to take and want the food to themselves. :)
Great video and shots Eileen!
