For my Skywatch Friday I have some shots of the sky from my backyard and a video including the sky and a bird sound I am not too sure of? I could help with the id on the sound. I know there are some experts out there.
These photos are in order as I took them. I did take shots of the sky looking west and the little pufft clouds were right above my head. I think it was a cool looking sky.

I hope you enjoy my skies as much as I did and to see more beautiful skies
please visit Skywatch Friday. Thanks to the hosting group of Sylvia, Sandy and Wren.
Also thanks for stopping by to see my skies. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Birding to all my birding friends.
LOL-I'm going to assume that was the Mister opening and closing the door? I have YET to shoot a video where my dear one doesn't talk, belch, start a chainsaw, you name it!
ReplyDeleteDon't know what the bird was, but the crickets were sure relaxing to listen to!
Have a great weekend, Eileen!
Oh, and the photos were lovely!
A good reminder to look up often at all times to watch for such lovely clouds in the sky. Nice awesome shots!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea to take a video of your surroundings! Your skies are very beautiful and peaceful. I am sorry that I cannot tell what kind of bird this is. I am not good at bird sounds, though I like them very much.
ReplyDeleteYour backyard is really chirpy. I think there are also insects as part of the orchestra. The scattered cloud shot that looks like polka dots is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteDid you notice 2 grasshoppers in the that Hopper shot? I wonder why they must share their meal when there are lots to munch from.
What an amazing variety of skies. Just lovely!
ReplyDeletewow! gorgeous skies! feathers in one. raindrops on water in others. :)
ReplyDeletePuffy clouds are always a sight to watch!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what bird you were hearing --but I loved seeing your sky photos today. That one pictures with the puffy clouds is great!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Eileen.
Hugs,
Betsy

ReplyDeleteLol)..the first poster cracked me up! I second that..
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful drama up in the sky! Lovely header and the first one is so cool! I think the others are cumalous clouds..so pretty-
Wishing you a fantastic weekend Eileen-
Love your little sheep skies !
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF.
Greetings from Holland,
Anna
So, how many shots did you really take of this sky?? (if it were me, it would be close to the hundreds, I just wouldn't be able to stop myself!)
ReplyDeleteI think I love #4 the best.
Such soft, lovely skies and wonderful captures for the day! I enjoyed the video, too! I love the little cotton ball clouds! Everything looks so soft and peaceful! Hope you have a lovely weekend, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
Beautiful day in Paradise indeed! I always love thoe "broken" looking clouds.
ReplyDeleteWhat glorious patterns in your sky today. Did you get a crick in your neck from looking up so much :-)
ReplyDeleteFantastic views of the sky, each one different.
ReplyDeleteI love your sky shots. Some are like tiny cotton balls tossed against the sky.
ReplyDeleteLucky you to see such gorgeous skies!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, Very nice series! I like that puff-ball polkadot sky picture a lot! Have a great day tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies.
ReplyDeleteI am not familiar with bird sounds, but it seems (to me) they are coming from small birds.
ReplyDeleteYou caught some pretty good skies. Nice series of shots!
I love those straight lines blending on the cotton ball-like clouds.
ReplyDeleteSkywatch at my page. Have a nice weekend.
Love those puffy clouds.
ReplyDeleteMy SWF
The skies are real beautiful. My cat had a suspicious look when I played the video and she heard the birds, lol !
ReplyDeleteI like photo number 5 too, we had a lot of that kind of cloud last week, is it a cropped and zoomed version of photo's 3 or 4, they look like Cirrocumulus.
ReplyDeleteThe larger 'puffy' cloudlets, Altocumulus, at a lower altitude are shaded on the side away from the Sun, Cirrocumulus being much higher, are not shaded and look more like rice grains.
Lovely photo's, if you are anything like me, you most likely take a lot more photo's than you intended, I get carried away every almost time.
Very nice post.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Hi there - no help on the bird song - sorry, wrong part of the world!
ReplyDeleteThose puffy little clouds are rather splendid. I don’t think I've seen them like that before.

I'm no expert but watched your video anyway! Sorry don't know how the bird is called. These little clouds are so pretty, I love when the sky looks like that :)
