I am linking up with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday
These last two weeks of January seem to be making up for the previous two mild winters we had. The temperatures have been in the single digits and the teens during the day.. With these cold temps the snow is just not melting..I am longing for spring and warmer weather. The birds seem to be adapting to these cold and snowy days.. I am keeping them all well fed.
My Cardinal tree..
A cardinal tree, female and male cardinals and two Grackles.
A pretty male Cardinal
My Redbellied woodie, more cardinals and some Starlings.
A redbellied woodie and a junco outside my window.
The birds have been a treat to watch on these snowy days when I am stuck in the house. I hope everyone is staying warm and safe during this arctic weather we are having.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I always appreciate your comments.

It really does look cold. The red of the birds stands out beautfully, and at least you have them visiting to enjoy. I hope it warms up a bit for you soon.
The cardinals and red headed woodpecker are lovely in the snow!! Know they visit your yard daily!! I don't know how the poor birds make it through this winter!!
Wonderful photos of a cold winter day! Stay warm this week!
'My cardinal tree'...LOVE this, Eileen! What an absolute joy to see those birds on the tips of the bare branched tree, kind of like Christmas lights at the beginning of the season, when everyone is excited about the holidays!
Gorgeous pictures, as always. You are such a sweetheart for keeping those lovelies well fed, and in this freeze out, too!
Have a super week!

Love your cardinal tree. A living Christmas tree. Hope it warms for you soon.
You certainly have a lot of cardinals! We still haven't seen any Red-bellied Woodpeckers.
The cardinal tree is very neat. And I love all of your pretty birds. We're not stuck inside but we love our feeders and have lots of birds right now. Stay warm my friend and keep those feeders loaded!
So many great shots, Eileen...:)JP
I've never seen these birds in the wild- beautiful pictures :)
You have the largest flock of cardinals in your Cardinal Tree that I have ever seen. We're getting ready for another blast of cold weather.

A wonderful series of photos! The cardinals are little beauties!
Eileen,
I love your Cardinal Tree! It is beautiful and your Cardinals have cooperated so nicely-they even seem to have perched on the right branches so as to keep the tree decorated properly! Going to pin this one!
Have a lovely week,
Jemma
LOVE Cardinals. Please send some my way!
Wow, lots of life around the yard.
There are no Cardinals were I live. Your Cardinals are beautiful. I would love to see them one day.
Lovely snaps! I wish my backyard birds were close enough to the windows to shoot. I've gone almost 2 weeks without any photography and it's killing me. I'm working on 5 days of images from the first two weeks of January and I'm about to run out of post material. Hurry up spring!
Hi Eileen! I have to say, that I think this is one of my favorite series of your photos--Cardinals are my favorites in any season, and you've captured them perfectly in this one, your photos would make great cards!
The weather here is the same! You must be providing some pretty good grub, so many cardinals! I love that woody! Great shots!

Some beautiful birds, Eileen! Amazing reds.
Some beautiful reds!
Love your "cardinal tree!" We don't have cardinals here in the PNW, so I enjoy seeing your photos of them. Wish you could send some of that snow over to our mountains!
Amazing, I have never seen so many Cardinals together. I only get one pair over the winter months. Enjoy your week:) Jen
I love the cardinals! They are the prettiest decorations you could have. :-) The birds are such a bright spot during this cold and gray time.
Hi Eileen,

Wow what a great blog this is!
Beautifully all those cardinals and you have them also very beautifully photographed. Also you woodpecker is a picture. I have only the great spotted woodpecker in real life so I enjoy twice over these beautiful pictures.
Lovely pictures. We put 2 patio doors in our living room that open to a long deck/porch. Our feeders are in front of the door, so we watch the bird action from our recliners. Our red bellied woodies don't like Starlings! So much fun to watch the birds get along..or not~lol~
The first one with the cardinals, so many of them! Beautiful shots as always Eileen. Have a great week :)
awwwww
Wonderful photos of the birds in the yard. I love these red feathers. Great !
Best regards, Synnöve
I always wonder how the birds and the little creatures survive in the cold frosty snowy days. I guess some of them fly away to a warmer climate.
And others are glad of your bird feeder. I had a book when I was a child that I loved about a robin pair building a nest in the snowy Christmas time and getting bits and pieces from the children's Christmas tree, abd being fed crumbs on the window sill.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Wow, the cardinal tree is amazing! What a sight to see! I don't see cardinals here, but I know they are around in another part of town.
