Saturday's Critters #23

Saturday's Critters #23

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies!

Hello and happy weekend!  OK, it's time to share your critters. I hope to see you join in on the Critter party.

For my critter post I am sharing some of my yardbirds.. A couple birds that are migrating thru like the Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting and my regular visitor the Northern Cardinal..

Above is the female Rose-Breasted Grosbeak..I bird I look forward to seeing every spring. They are just passing thru onto their breeding grounds.

The Male Rose-breasted Grosbeak..as you can see by his name he has a beautiful rose colored breast.

The Indigo Bunting is one of our summer breeders. I will see this pretty blue bird all summer.

One of my regular daily and year round visitors is the Northern Cardinal.

I hope you enjoyed my critter post. Now, I want to see your critters..   I wish everyone a happy weekend.

Thank you for linking up to the critter party. I appreciate the visits, comments and the support of my blogging friends..

  1. Oh my gosh, I love the look on the Cardinal's face. He looks so serious. The Indigo Bunting is so beautiful, I would love to see that color all summer.

  8. Hi Eileen-you've gotten some wonderful shots of our most colorful visitors. I was so happy to see the Indigos arrive the other day--along with the Grosbeaks and Orioles. Around here, they seem to arrive the second week of May. The calendar does say it's time, but the weather sure doesn't!

  10. I'm so glad you changed your site. Somehow the old one took me so much time to load up and view. Love those pics as always. I'm off to San Diego California next Wednesday for two months. Looking forward to the heat waves. I know that sounds weird, but I am sick and tired of cold and wet on a weekly basis.

  57. These are some of my favourite birds. We used to have the rose-breasted & evening grosbeaks spending summers in our woods. The cardinals we saw all year long, but we didn't have the indigoes at our place (although I've seen them very rarely just a bit north of us). Aren't they such a striking shade of blue! How lucky you are to have such beauties around you :) Wendy x
