Happy weekend and welcome to Saturday's Critters! I am sharing some of the birds and critter seen during our Colorado vacation.. We were lucky to see the female moose and her young a few times..The Marmots were seen a few times during our rides back and forth thru the park. The Stellar's Jay were a common bird seen all over the place..

    I love the photo of the Jay. I've never seen a bird like that before. I love how bright it's color is. Very pretty.

  6. Great captures Eileen. When we lived on the other side of the state we had lots of Steller's Jays but none here and I miss them. We do have moose but I don't see them as often as I did in Alaska.

  14. Cool shots, Eileen, Stellar's Jays come to my house, they are rather heavy for my suet feeder, but like sunflower seeds on the railing. How exciting to photograph the moose with calf!

  18. Nice Steller's Jay! Had them at my feeder all the time in New Mexico, but now in Florida I must settle for their Blue Jay cousins. Since taking up photography I have yet to see another marmot despite trips to Colorado and Alaska. Great captures of the critters!

  27. Great shots ! Don't you love seeing the moose.
    The Stellar Jays are pretty birds , we dont get them here as a matter of fact we don't even see blue jays much and miss there lovely blue color.
    I have tried on several occasion to link up on Saturdays critters ... as I love it , but my system always comes up with errors more than not , some is probably my incompetence but some is my photos and page won't pick up at times ~ frustrates me : (
    I'll tyy again though.

  46. Each one of these photos is spectacular to me. Stellar Jays may be common but I don't see them often and love them. We have some marmots on Vancouver Island but I've never seen one. Love the moose with her calf as well. Wonderful post, Eileen. Thanks as well for hosting!!

  58. I used to see these in our back yard in Colorado all the time....now, we don't have ANY blue jays of any kind this far south.

  62. Here I am, tail end Charlie! Like others before me I have not seen any of these critters, seeing a Moose in the wild is on my bucket list though :) I would love to see the other two as well!

    Mom and baby moose must have been another adrenaline shot for you!!
