Hurry Spring!

Linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences

I just can not get over how fast time is flying, it is almost the end of February.. I am happy that Spring is almost here.. The Mid-Atlantic states have not been enjoying the early and warm weather that the west coast is having. I wish it was a warm winter here, it has been an awfully cold winter!  I am sharing more scenes from this past weekend and earlier in the week, I hope you enjoy!

A cute snow covered squirrel. And another can you find the Junco shot?  BTW, do you see the fence?

A multi fence shot, with my deck railing, chained link fence and a fence further off. Do you see my neighbor with his snow blower.. He was very nice and helped hubby clean the snow off our driveway..Can you see the snow blowing up and into the woods..

You know me by now, I just have to share some birds on my post, some more colorful Starlings..

My skywatch shot, some neat contrails and the sunset...At least I enjoy the pleasures of skywatching.

A pretty sky, the contrail and  sliver of moon on the far top left.. Do you see the moon?

My moon capture taken on Feb 22nd.. I hope you enjoyed my latest post.. Thanks for stopping by and for the nice comments..

To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday
and check for more fence shots at Tex's Good Fences

Thanks to Theresa @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences and thanks to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday.    I wish everyone a happy day and weekend ahead..

  2. A cute photo of the squirrel Eileen.I note it seems to be eating sunflower seeds. The ones I see here don't touch them, going for the peanuts instead. I do hope your weather improves, but you managed some great shots in spite of the poor weather. I love the Starling capture, and your wonderful sky shots.:)

  8. Hang in there, Eileen--spring IS coming. It's getting harder to hang on to my sense of humor about it though. This is our 13th night below ZERO this month. My propane usage is going crazy. I'm hoping that hangs on until the prices come down.........

  9. Super photos Eileen. I am looking forward to the warmer weather also. I have just popped my head through the curtain to see a fresh layer of snow. Love the sunlight on the starlings feathers. Nice fence shots too and the moon is impressive. Have a great day :)

  10. As I wrote in Facebook, I noticed that the goldfinches are getting their spring colors and hanging out in a tree in our back yard neighbor's tree. I have seen lots of starlings, too, in recent days. They hang out in another neighbor's tree. The starlings seem to swarm between a far tree and a nearer neighbor's tree.

  13. Yep, it's good that February is passing quickly! The temperature hasn't gone above freezing here north of Toronto since January 24th, and on that day it was just barely above 0°F not even half way to 1°.

  19. That squirrel is too cute! Hey, I'd trade you weather if I could. I'm hoping our lack of winter snow doesn't contribute to water rationing and forest fires this summer....

  20. The squirrel is a delightful surprise. We certainly have our share of squirrels down here but not dusted in snow like yours. And, the colors the starling feathers reflect are so beautiful.

Your sky watch offered a unique pattern.
The moon's magic is perfectly preserved in the image.

The snow-covered squirrel is a cutie and the starlings are beautiful with their colorful feathers. As always, your sky and moon photos are great! Have a wonderful weekend, Eileen!

  64. The east coast certainly has copped it this winter! Your winter storms are getting more extreme as are our summer temps. We have been hovering around 100F for many weeks now and it is so enervating that I have hardly posted and not visited at all. Just trying to stay alive.

    ReplyDelete
  65. The squirrel is a cute one! Looks like he's trying to get enough energy to stay warm by eating. Nice shot of the starlings as well.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Another great series of photos Eileen! I was noticing today that I've not seen a single squirrel this winter, which is a little unusual--I wonder if it's because of our resident owls. But yours looks healthy, and really happy!!
