Linking up with Skywatch Friday and Good Fences
Sometimes I have a hard time thinking up titles for my blog post.. Since the photos I am sharing are a collection of unrelated subjects..you can call it a hodgepodge or a MISHMASH.. I am sharing some photos from my yard for Tex's Good Fence post and some local shots for my Skywatch post and I always have to include a bird or two. All the photos are unrelated, some are just pretty to me. I hope you like them too.
While walking on my treadmill I am still seeing my Eastern Towhee. The view out my window while I am walking on my treadmill..
For Good Fences..early one morning a scene from my dining room window this week. We had a mixture of snow/sleet/freezing rain...Beyond the deck railing you can see the chain link fence. It was necessary for when we had Goldie Girl..way in the distance is the old wood fence behind the pine trees..it is falling down now..We have a mishmash of fences in our yard..
Hubby enjoys his cold walks to the lake, as you can see it has been cold enough here for the lake to freeze on top..A view of the sky above the lake for Skywatch Friday....Thinking of SPRING now...
The House Finches stopped eating long enough to turn and pose for my photo..
Also for my Skywatch...a shot of the moon, taken from my deck..
A rural scene from taking the back roads to my son's house in Pennsylvania..
A sunset skywatch on the way home from my son's place on Sunday..
As always, thanks for stopping by and for the nice comments..I hope you enjoyed your visit.

Wonderful post.
Best regards!
Great SWF shots Eileen. The sunset is gorgeous, I am always impressed with your moon shots and the frozen lake is very picturesque. The scene of the horses is picture postcard and I like the look of your deck. A lovely place to see all those pretty birds. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day :)
Encantadoras tuas fotos! Perfeitas!Adorei! Lindo dia! bjs, chica
Two lovely shots you have taken to and from your son's home. Love how you watch the birds while exercising!! Puts me to shame! Wonderful sunset. Have a great day.
A beautiful mishmash of shots.
The finches would be cool visitors.
I know I must have told you this before...I love listening to them!!! Such a sharp looking bird!!!...:)JP
What a cute little bird the Eastern Towhee is! You have a nice view from your treadmill. Almost makes it pleasurable. ;-)
I believe Pensylvannia is an interesting state an my favourute one.. Great landscapes
ahhhh...loved this mishmash.
Fascinating series of photos. Love that sunset and the frozen lake.
The house finches have a "caught in the act" look on their faces with seeds in their mouths ... cute! Great shots of both skies and birds. Seeing the lake shot makes me want to venture down to our Lake Ontario today and see what it looks like now. Enjoy your day! Wendy
I am most intrigued by the photo of the Towhee. I have never been that close to one!
I like that word mishmash, and as always you grace us with such beauty waiting in nature. Is that a sweet, tweet-tweet I heard?!!!
I too, sometimes have a hard time coming up with my titles!! Lovely pictures of God's awesome beauty. I enjoyed!!
Many Blessings...

Eileen, you definitely have a wonderful view from all over your house. Great pictures for the blog hops, and always love your bird pictures. So cute that the finches posed for you.
i think i read that right - you said walking on your treadmill you get to see this shots. wow. what a great place or area to walk in ... that is awesome times!! i love the sunset best-est. thanks for allowing me to drool all over my computer. just kidding but they sure are pretty. ( :
I'm in love with the colors of that sunset. Really amazing photography.
"Mishmash" sounds like something those sweet little birds would gratefully eat during this brutal winter. Your photos describe well the desolation of the season....but to those who take the time to look more closely, the world is alive with feathery beauties who don't seem to be bothered by it all!
Very nice sunset shot! Your view of the lake really reminds me of a spot on our local Pine Lake.
what ever your title, all the photos today are great to me.. i am a big fan of photo's no matter what the subject. that first little bird is so cute.
I like how the branches look like a fork about to grasp the beautiful moon.
Nice set! Your bird photos are so sweet! Love the little towhee.
Beautiful pictures Eileen.
Nice view of the garden you have.
Photo 1, 4, 5 and 7 are really great.
Best regards, Irma
love the mishmash, hodgepodge, this-n-that, olio, 'beef stew' of your photos. :) the towhee is so pretty. love the blue look to your backyard view that snowy, icy day. and the sweet rural scene in the snow. lovely skies as always, too.
Nice sunset shot! Great colors!
That's a great mish msh. I love them all.
Beautiful shots of the snow and ice. Although I'm sure not so nice for you to have to deal with.
That lake would be my walking destination as well - it looks so pretty. Your birds are always lovely; I also love House Finches, they're hanging out at my feeders as well. Lovely rural scene and beautiful sunset.
What a lovely mishmash, ending with that gorgeous sunset.
Hi Eileen, I love a mishmash post and yours is beautiful. What a great view while on the treadmill. The birds are too sweet. The sunset is stunning. You are very talented with your camera.
Have a great day.
CM
Your photos are just delightful, although it looks mighty cold there!
What a sunset! I like the frozen lake a lot, too.
Sometimes I have a hard time thinking up titles for my blog post..
I know the feeling. Great pot roast of pics, Eileen!
;-)
So many fences? Seems like you are fenced in Eileen :)
Hello Eileen!!
Great post!!Wonderful series of pictures!Like the House Finches and the gorgeous sunset shots!!The little bird in the first photo is so cute!!Have a lovely day!
Dimi...
Hi Eileen,
fantastic photos of the birds, the sunset and the moon. You have a lot of ice in this Wintertime.
Best regards, Synnöve
Very beautiful all you show.
Thank you very much.
Looks like we got very similar weather as you, Eileen.
Wonderful post title, I love the shot of the towhee and sunset also. Windy and cool here also.
Mishmash, now that's a word I haven't heard in awhile. And you did indeed post mishmash ... beautiful mishmosh. I am most impressed with the fact that you can take a clear shot of an Eastern Towee while walking on a treadmill. That is quite a trick, Eileen :) All of your pictures are lovely including the many layers of fence in your back yard (I had to enlarge and look very closely to spot them all). What a pleasure ... who would have though, mishmash:)

I always enjoy your photos. Thank you for sharing. Also appreciate your comments on my blog. Have a good day!
Oh I know that with the titles... !
Have enjoyed your post, my favorite is the first and the posing finches.. and, of course, the moon
Lovely collection of photos, and the fence for Golden Girl, they are the words that stay with me today. Hugs.
Wonderful moon and colourful skies.
Wow, you included so many wonderful photos but I do like that first sweet little bird photo. I really like all of them.
Any picture with a horse is going to be my favorite. I like the round pen they have and your sunset picture is gorgeous.
A fabulous mishmash! What a location for a treadmill.
I agree titling posts can be hard. I do like your "Mismash" though. Such a chubby little bird, a cold snowy scene, wonderful country scene, a frost lake and a gorgeous sunset. I enjoyed it all.
Your towhee is such a handsome bird, beautiful photo too. I like the way the house finches have turned to the camera, but the other bird (is it a goldfinch?) is too interested in eating...
Hi Eileen,
The House Finches are beautiful and so are the other scenes.
That moon is something. Do you have your own Hubble? :)
Looks like you have a frozen deck - not surprised, based on your Geo-location.
Have a Beautiful day!
Peace :)
Superb images, the first one is my fave.
I knew you would have pretty birds! Love your moon shot and the rural shots from PA.
Love these sky shots, Eileen. We used to live inLancaster County, PA. It's nice to have views of the birds while exercising indoors.
Hi Eileen! I love your mishmash of lovely photos. That is a wonderful closeup of the towhee. Such a cute bird. Have a wonderful day!
Glad the birds find something to eat, it must be rare pickings in so much snow.
Merle....................
Beautiful captures as always, Eileen! You are photographing while on the treadmill - I hope you stop it while you have the camera in hand?
A beautiful "mishmash" it is indeed as always!! You do find beauty everywhere you go and I'm so glad that you share it with us!! Hope you're ready for a great new weekend! Happy Valentines Day!!
Happy Retirement! I just noticed. I really like your bird photographs. My favorite one is the image where tree branches are catching the moon taken from your deck. That particular image is so creative.

Wonderful mix of beautiful shots.
Wonderful mishmash !
I do love a golden sunset. Gorgeous mishmash of images.
Great skies! Love the finches posing for you.
true coming up with blog title is sometimes more difficult than composing the post. i love the finch photo. i knew so very little of ornithology so it's nice to be educated while i visit here.
That sunset is beautiful. The three birds on the feeder is cute and what a great picture the moon is. Looks like the tree branch is holding it up.
A stunning mishmash of images!
Variety is the spice of life. Loved all the various things you shared.
Lovely pictures. Does that lake ever freeze enough that you can skate on it? The towhee looks like a stubby Robin. Too cute! Pretty sunset. Where in Pennsylvania does your son live? Maybe we are neighbors...
Love the little Towhee. Lovely photos today. Deb
I love your bird pics, they are crystal clear. Great moon shot.
well I love this "mishmash" Eileen. Have a wonderful weekend!
cheers
That was a very enjoyable mishmash, Eileen! :) The towhee and finches were very cute. Lovely sky shots and no shortage of fences. :)
Thanks for stopping by to comment on my fences.

That sunset shot is a real beauty!!
Hi Eileen, great series of shots. I enjoy seeing your captures!
I don't think 'mishmash' does these images justice. Love the sunset and the moon. And the chubby little bird in the first shot!
"hodgepodge" i like very much just as all your beautiful shots :-)
have a happy weekend
So beautiful photos, really great, and the sky is just terrific!
I think I accidently clicked out. Sorry if this posts twice.
Your photos may be a mishmash but each is lovely in its own right.
Love the sunset - gorgeous!
The Eastern Towhee looks so soft and fluffy, unlike most of our more tropical birds. Saw an Australian King Parrot in our yard this morning, a first for us (and blogged).
They are beautiful pictures of the birds and I enjoy that. Also, your moon and the sun are captured beautifully. Very nice weekend Eileen.
hi eileen, i adore your photos! soo beautiful!
happy val's day! xo
Lovely sunset through the branches
Thank the House Finches for posing for us. Great series of shots here.
Latest photos and birds warmed frosty views. Regards.
i have no talent when it comes to titles and often put way too much emphasis on them!!!
pretty birds and views and an amazing sky!!!
That is a wonderful mishmash of your "ordinary days" which are all amazingly beautiful. Wonderful shots all. I especially love the moon looking like it is caught in the tree branch.
Hi Eileen,
Love your mishmash of marvellous images! That moon, those red crowned finches, and that dramatic sunset of oranges, reds, and pinks are all beautiful!
Happy Valentine's Day!

You have beautiful views from your deck !
An eclectic set of photos Eileen. Your Towhee, the House Finches and your sunsets are just lovely and colourful.
I do hope that ice and snow leaves you very soon.
I must admit to not having a treadmill list!
Love your pictures, especially the Towhee. What a cutie! We have gone through more birdseed this winter than we have for the past three years, I think. The birds are hungry.
Beautiful birds! I really like the ones with the red.
Wow! I love the variety in nature shown by this whole "mishmash." Beautiful.
Beautiful pictures! Love seeing all the birds.
A lovely mix of photos, Eileen. And a great closing sunset.
Gorgeous mishmash!
All beautiful photos, Eileen! I loved your "mishmash" a lot, and most especially, for some reason, the rural scene (maybe the horses, or perhaps, the interestingly arranged fence.. or both). I guess you have it a little bit colder than we do for now, but I can see by the finches' wonderful red coloring that they are getting ready for Spring. Have a wonderful evening. Hope to see you with a couple of critters tomorrow.
Lovely captures all!
Love that photo of the Towhee! Beautiful fence shot, too!
Great shots, Eileen! I especially love the sunset you captures and the Towhee in the first image. Have a blessed weekend!
Love that title, and it's a great collection of photos.
How nice to see your wonderful pictures ! Greetings :)
Love that sunset shot!!
A really lovely mish mash Eileen! I do love those House Sparrows :D)
I thoroughly enjoyed all your photos and, oh, that gorgeous sunset !!!
What a neat mishmash!!! My Mom always uses that term!!! Beautiful sunset!!
