Backyard Skies

I am linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences
I hope you can join in on the fun and share your fence scenes and pretty skies.

These are some images from our walk on the local NCR bike trail. I was able to include some fences for Tex's Good Fence meme.

Scenes from along the NCR trail during our walk. As you can seen by my mosaic images our world is mostly brown now with some green grass still showing.

Pretty view of the sky and looking up at the trees on the NCR trail.

Lately these cute Golden-crowned Kinglets are being seen and heard along the trails and during our walks. They are quick movers like the warblers. I also heard some Winter Wrens but they disappeared into the brush along the river.

A sunset from our backyard.

This moon shot was taken on Jan 3rd.

My view of the moon setting from my deck.

A sliver of a moon taken on Jan 5th. As always thank you for stopping by and for the nice comments.

To see more pretty skies from around the world please visit  Skywatch Friday
and check for more fence shots at Tex's Good Fences

Thanks to Theresa @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences this past year it has been fun looking for fences for my post. Also, thank you to Sylvia, Yogi  and Sandy for doing such a great job at hosting Skywatch Friday.    I wish everyone a happy day and weekend ahead..

I almost thought from your first photo that you had been for a walk along the river near my home, Eileen'! It looks so similar here in N. Ireland with winter brown all around. Those are sweet little birds with their golden crowns!
I always enjoy seeing the photos of the moon that you take, as they are so clear!
Have a great day!

Wonderful images....as always. I 'sound' like a broken record, I know...but it's true.

The moon, the soft, delicate hues of the sky from your deck...and of course the birds.

I'm hoping that the full moon on the 23rd will be good for photographing. We'll be on the road that evening, so a different perspective will be nice. Love the hazy sunset picture.

Great trail and fences along it. I've never heard of a Kinglet. Thanks for sharing. I've just downloaded similar moon shots from 3 January onto my mother-in-law's digital photo frame. Along with photos of the dogs enjoying the after-rain on the golf course earlier this week. I don't think I'll be able to photograph the next waxing of the moon tonight as the clouds are building up for more rain. I will have to post the ones I had on FB two days ago. Hope you're having a great day. Jo

Your wonderful walks seem endless ... everywhere you go, and you do go to many places, it is beautiful. And, isn't it wonderful that you are such a good photographer so you can share it all with those of us in the middle west who's scenery reeks of corn and bean fields. Always enjoy my visits to your blog, Eileen.

The moon shots are fabulous! It looks so warm where you are. Is that the norm for this time of year? When I went out today it was very warm here too and the buds are coming out. That often happens but then it will get cold again. Enjoy your weekend, Eileen. xx
