I am linking up with Skywatch Friday and Good Fences
I hope you can join in on the fun and share your fence scenes and pretty skies.
I still have more photos from our trip to Tennessee. These are some Tennessee scenes with skies, fences, barns and some birds of course. LOL, I can not do a post and not include some birds. I hope you enjoy this post.
For my week's favorite for Teresa's Friday's Hunt and Tex's Good Fences meme above, this big guy came to greet us and was scratching his head on the fence.
These cows were mooing at us and a few of them walked over closer to us. I was leery of getting to close, this fence did not look that strong.
For Tom's Barn Collective a barn with the rolls of hay outside. Sorry for the quality my drive-by shots are never clear.
I hope you are not tired of seeing Sandhill Cranes, they seemed to be all around during our visit. A nice Tennessee birder told us we could find more Sandhill Cranes at this cow farm. He was right on we found the cranes, cows, fences and a barn. I hit the jackpot here.
We saw a good number of Sandhill Cranes at the farm. They were spread out all around the farm. There is some kind of fence on this photo above.
This barn looks like it needs some help, it was nearby the cows we saw.
For my skywatch entry it was near sunset we were back at the Cherokee Removal Memorial park to see the Sandhill Cranes and the sunset. I like the colors in the sky above.
For Teresa's Friday hunt, above is my week's favorite photo. I love this sunset and reflection on the river.
Edited to add a photo of a Killdeer for the letter K
Teresa's Friday's Hunt Week of March 11...thanks Teresa
1. starts with the letter K...I saw some Kestrels along the road and Killdeer on the field with the cows but no photos.
2. week's favorite
3. Flower...my plant zone is slow to see flower here. Maybe some daffies coming soon.

Have a great day
best regards

I too would be a little wary of the flimsy fence and those strong looking cattle!
So many cranes, lovely, and your sunset is stunning :)
Excelentes fotografias.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.
Nice post. Beautiful photographs.
Greetings from India
I love those Sandhill Cranes, Eileen. We have a few Common Cranes here - but for Sandhills, I just love Vicky Henderson's painting here.
Hello Eileen! Fantastic photos of beautiful Tennessee farmland and fences and good to see the cattle making you feel welcome!
I particularly loved the last sunset shot over the river. The colours are so soft and subtle, its so serene!
Have a lovely day!
I'd never get tired of seeing those cranes - I really want to see one in the feather.
cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Hello Eileen!:) Love all the fence shots with the cattle, and I'm not in the least tired of seeing the Sandhill Cranes, as they are a novelty for me, and your Sandhill Crane captures at sunset are very beautiful images. Nice barn shot too!:)
A good farm. I love the last two photos Eileen
Good Thursday ;)
Besos.
Live for the moments you cannot put in words. I like that. Nice photos Eileen. Hug B
Wonderful photos, Eileen! I always love seeing a herd of cattle and those are especially interesting. Great barn, and tell those sandhill cranes they can return to Wisconsin. I love those birds with their great squeaky call.
Muito lindas tuas fotos! Adorei ! Sempre ótimos cliques! bjs, chica

...maybe the bullocks were getting tetchy at being termed in the feminine?! I LOVE cattle, whichever gender - you can take the girl out of the farm but... well you know...&*> YAM xx
Lovely photos . Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
More pretty sky shots....the sandhill cranes flying is so cool. Of course I WOULD NEVER tire of bird photos. You know me too well. And the cattle photos? Super Eileen.
Pretty Skies Eileen and great fences. Love the first on with the cow coming to greet you and scratch. They are such a beautiful animal. Love all you captures. Have a wonderful day and weekend ahead.
sweet herd and handsome bull. i like your favorite, too.
Good Morning.....some really neat pictures. enjoyed seeing the sunshine...
So many pretty scenes in Tennessee. I especially love autumn in the mountains.
Thank you for posting these photos.
Very pretty farm scenes. I was so nice to see the cranes. I wasn't sure where this farm is in Tennessee but my BIL lives in Jackson. He is a piano tuner and repair person. I haven't finished my Hunt yet so I'm still working on it.
..
I NEVER tire of seeing Sandhill Cranes...and I love to hear them, too. I enjoyed the shots of the cows, too. And I love that last shot as well as the barns.
Boa tarde, fantásticas captações das vacas no meio natural, a nitidez das mesmas dão os detalhes que aprecio.

amazing that a fence that size can hold back those cattle....i guess the barbed wire is effective!!!!
that last image is so beautiful, pretty colors!!!!
I love the cows, fantastic images.
Good morning Eileen! Thanks for your visit. What a variety of good scenes with fences. The cows are great. I can almost hear them mooing!
Lovely shots.
Great shots. What a fun time taking these shots.

You know me and cattle. : ) They look kind of mean but the ones I've encountered have been quite nice and gentle. One even licked my hand. : )
I like that pastel sunset. so beautiful and love love love the cows...
I like photo #1 , he looks very harmless there, and good old barbed wire to make sure he stays on that side.
Love the 1st photo with the great fence and the sweet cow ~ All great shots too!
Happy Weekend coming to you ~ ^_^
Did you play the game as a kid...open the car doors when you cross RR tracks to let the train through?
Another game we did...we'd all moooooo when we'd see cattle.
Your photos were wonderful. I liked that 1st one with the cow scratcing on the fencing. You'd think that barbed wire would hurt. Also the photos of all the Sandhill Cranes were fun. I never see them around here so it was a treat. Such a pretty sunset shot too.
You know there's a trick to rubbing your head on a fence post like that. You have to be able to scratch an itch without getting messed up in the barbed wire. :-) It ain't easy being a cow.
There's something romantic about old barns. I just imagine the stories they could tell! Have a grand day!
What lovely sunset photos - awesome sandhill crane shot.
that fence seems to keep those cows back and a good crop of cranes in that field too.
I also had a fear of these cows, although they are nice. It was nice to watch the birds. Beautiful view of the end of the trip. Regards.
Guess 'Norman' was a bit itchy...
Lovely photo of sunset's reflection in the water.
Have a Happy Day, Eileen!
Peace :)
Hi Eileen. I think it's great the way those cranes are spread out across that farm without a care in the world. Three cheers for the farmer for not harassing the birds and for all the folk like yourself who spread the word about how wonderful our wildlife is.
I think you're safe with cows. It's the bulls you need to watch out for.
Hello Eileen,
I've come here from Skywatch.
Your 'parting shot' is delicious. Wish I had taken it :-)
Fantastic photos of beautiful nature.
Quite all right, Eileen -my drive-by pics are blurry a great deal of the time! Great pastoral views.
Things have been so topsy turvy that I can't remember
if I invited you for my new meme SEASONS, where anything goes, so not only landscapes, but also experiences - like feasts, food, traditions, as long as it fits in the season. My link is open Mon-Wed. 7 pm, pacific time. Hope to see you there!
Beautiful captures for the day, as always, Eileen!! Love that sky full of birds!! I hope you have a lovely weekend!! Enjoy!!
Your last photo melts my heart - it is just stunning.
Thank you for these great pictures
I love seeing your pics of the cranes!
Barbed wire is quite a deterrent..No worry there..Love the last shot...nice reflections...
I like seeing rolls of hay. They add so much to the composition.
Worth a Thousand Words
just wonderful and healing, Dear!
Great series Eileen! The pink reflected light in the pond is captured so well.
Wonderful photos. My favorite is the first one though, such a cutie! Oh and you can never post too many bird pictures by the way.
I saw a similar fence holding back some buffalo once. I didn't stay very long either :) Great photos Eileen!
Beautiful pics love them all
Saun
Love that first shot!!
That's a lot of sandhill cranes! And I love your last photo - nice reflection of the pink sky in the water.
Tennessee really is beautiful, and I always love the barns, fields, etc. But I would not have expected to see the cranes either -- What a nice surprise!
There were really a big number of Sandhill Cranes! Awesome! Beautiful landscapes!
Fun to see the cows so curious - good idea to keep your distance. I was chased by a herd of cows once as a little girl when I picked some apples in their pasture. My Dad had to rescue me :) Love seeing the Sandhill Cranes - what a thrill. They are larger than I expected! Nice old barns and that sunset is just wonderful! Hope your Friday is a good one. xx K
Beautiful sunset! Happy SWF Eileen. xx
great shots, have a nice WE.
Happy Day Eileen
Some lovely images here, a great mix to look at and enjoy.
I am in agreement with you - that last photo is my favourite, the colours are just so lovely.
Take Care
All the best Jan
Great find for you. Cows and sandhill cranes and also the rolls of hay. Have a great weekend, Eileen!
These are great shots, Eileen. Love the old barns and the peach sky. Have a wonderful weekend!
The last 2 pics are the best!!
Hi Eileen,

Best regards, Synnöve
Wonderful shots.
I have NEVER seen that many cranes in one spot. I wonder why they were gathered.
Wonderful photos. Your blog is amaizing.Cute Eileen.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful !
You enchant me more and more, dearest friend of mine, and I'm so grateful to you for this !
Sending blessings of joy on the remainder of your day, darling Eileen
with heartfelt gratitude
Dany
Two very pretty sunsets, Eileen. My favourite shot is the last one of all.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Beautiful photos! I've never seen Sandhill Cranes before. They seems to be everywhere. I'd love to re-visit Tennessee again.
You are certainly being stalked by Sandhill cranes, or so it would seem
Hello Eileen!!!
Lovely fences and what a beautiful cattle !!
Wonderful pictures of birds and nature!
I really enjoyed your post!
Have a happy weekend!
Dimi...
Very nice ! I really love the pink sunset !
Lovely! Happy weekend to you :-))

Sandhill cranes like golf courses, too.
~
Your photos are so beautiful, Eileen! I love the cranes the most. Have a great weekend:)
hugs
j.
Lovely to see those flocks of Sandhill Cranes!
Great photo of the Killdeer, too.
And your 'week's favorite' - beautiful!
Have a wonderful week-end!
Lea
I love the cows!
Love all the aspects seen. The sunset is absolutely fantastic...it's like an illustration! So stunning mix of pink reflected and blue of waters!
Best regards and a great weekend ahead!
A beautiful collection of shots! I like that sunset photo!!
I love being in the countryside...but rarely get an opportunity. Nice clicks of the farm animals and nature, Eileen. Have a great weekend!
Great shots, Eileen! Enjoy your weekend.
Great collection! It makes me miss my cows. Love the killdeer. I can never seem to get close enough to take a decent picture of one. Thanks so much for joining Friday's Hunt!
I hope the killdeers have not left our area, it seems everywhere they wanted to set up a nest on the ground was the next spot for houses to be built.
It would make me a little leery too of a flimsy barbed wire fence to hold back big beasts if they really wanted to get out.
Great photos... and a beautiful calm place!...
I love all the images!...
All the best!
Ana
Hi Eileen, Your photo of the sunset and reflection on the river is great! Enjoyed the others as well. Thanks for sharing this post!
Love the last shot of the wader Eileen but my favoutie is also your favourite this week. Enjoy your week ahead.
What a bunch of neat images here Eileen. I'm glad that among all your critters that you are able to find a barn or two. Thanks so much for joining the party this week and have a super week.
the sunset and the cranes are beautiful indeed..
Another lovely leaner (the barn).
I love the cows! They're beautiful animals.
no, I don´t mind the Sandhill cranes :)
Oh wow...that sunset reflected in the water! I think I'd get it printed on canvas or something! :)
I never tire of old barns, I only want to go inside.
:0)
How could you avoid seeing birds anywhere you go> They come to you like a baby to its mother. Loved seeing the Tennessee bars, cows, and the beautiful water with the birds. Lots of cranes out when you were there. It is still raining here. Hope you are having better weather up there in your neck of the woods.
I can't wait to see the Killdeer and Plovers and Ruddy Turnstones this spring! It amazes me there are Sandhill Cranes in Tennessee! I thought cranes were water fowl... may look it up now! Great pictures! Hugs!
