Saturday's Critters #168
Happy Saturday, it's time to share your critters and post. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who is linking in with this week's critter party.
If you have not guessed already from my other post, the Circle B Reserve in Lakeland is one of my favorite birding places in Florida. Sometimes we visit the Circle B twice in a week. Here are some more of my favorite scenes, birds and a butterfly from the reserve.
Two Wood Storks.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the Zebra Longwing Butterfly. It looks like it has its wings in 2 shades. Your birds shots are always beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAn amazing reserve. Would love to get there one day. You've even got two of my favourite bird types, cranes and storks, at the one place.

ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
Enjoy your weekend!
lovely photos, specially the green heron
ReplyDeleteThat is an especially nice shot of the Greenie! My envy of your Wood Storks has lessened a bit-- I had complained about their absence locally in south Florida but suddenly a colony of about 25 pairs has cropped up in Weston, only about 12 miles north of our home! Now I will keep wishing for some cranes.
ReplyDeleteThose two baby gators made my Saturday morning :)
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a wonderful place to see birds and nature from several of your shares on here and Facebook. I love going to the one in Delray Beach, though I am not good with the spelling. The birds are just outstanding, their numbers are incredible. Have a Happy weekend~
ReplyDeleteWow! Superb capture on the birds and wonderful light on the butterfly... Seems you stay to close the habitation to check often :)
ReplyDeleteI'm still amazed at the greenery to the south of us! We bitterly cold, today.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots once again, Eileen.

ReplyDeleteGreat shots Eileen, as always. It's been a long while since I've linked up... maybe I'll get on my own blog later and post a nice shot of a chickadee I captured this week. That is, if I can steal a few minutes from my kids on the main computer where I keep my photos and software.

Happy Saturday, Eileen. I think the Roseate Spoonbill is one the prettiest birds you have photographed since I've been reading your blog. They are so pastel, and really dress up their environment! The wood storks are so stately, they resemble the tree stump that they're standing by. Great shots of all birds, and young gators too! Happy weekend to you.
ReplyDeleteThese are great photos. We had about a jillion birds on the lawn digging for worms after the huge rainstorm, but I couldn't get a clear pictures of them.

gorgeous! I love the one just close to the bottom of post. Such a baby bird. You can still see it in his feathers.
ReplyDeleteI can almost hear the grebe squawking! What a lovely assortment. Yes, I guessed that Circle B was a favorite of yours -- and I am envious.
ReplyDeleteThe animals in your post are really great to see again.
ReplyDeleteThe roseate spoonbill is still a surprise. In the Netherlands we have only white spoonbills :-) The green heron is so beautiful. I wish we had it here too.
