Osprey

Hello, happy Monday everyone!

I am sharing the Osprey, it is also known as the Fish Eagle. It can be found along lakes, bays and rivers. They hover over the water and plunge down to grasp their fish. They are seen in Maryland during the summer season. I saw many Osprey while in Florida where they are considered residents.

  29. We have them EVERYWHERE! In fact, last week I spotted one on a nest on a light pole in the Burlington store parking lot! Right in the middle of a strip mall! Yet, out in a preserved area called Pleasure House Point, they put up a pole and a few sticks to entice some to nest and NOTHING! It was ignored. They do NEST there, just didn't like that spot! Hugs!
