Baker Park, Frederick Maryland

happy Monday,

I am doing an extra post this week, I am getting behind sharing some photos and parks we have visited during the end of April.  On this day hubby and I took a walk in Baker Park in Frederick Maryland.

April 25th, 2018
At this park there is a Night Heron rookery, both the Black-crowned Night Herons and the Yellow-crowned Night Herons. We could only see a couple of BC Night Herons, it was a chilly and windy day, the birds were hunkered down because of the weather.

The path around the Baker Park. I love the weeping willow trees.

Canada Geese with goslings.

Mallard Ducks

Black-crowned Night Heron.. hide and seek

  34. Great walk -- the first time I ever saw night herons was at a rookery in Eureka California (yellow-crowned) .... I was so excited. We went back there a few years later and it was gone ... someone said blown away in a windstorm. I was so sad. Love those birds (both blue- and yellow-crowned).
