Happy Thankful Thursday

Happy Thankful Thursday!

I was very happy with the flowers we picked this spring, they are still blooming, the Lantana, Upright Fuchsia and Salvia. Some of the trees are shedding just brown leaves, not many colors being seen here.

The female Red-bellied Woodpecker has found the suet ball feeder.

The Lantana is one of my favorite plants we bought back in the spring time.

Can you find the little bullfrog? Our little pond with the frog, turtle and moose yard ornaments.

The Upright Fuchsia has been blooming since spring.

"Happiness blooms from within."

Always thankful for the blue sky..

This is a tall pine tree in our yard

I am thankful for my pretty flowers still blooming in October.
A thankful heart is a happy heart.

am thankful for all your visits and comments.

  1. All those things are beautiful indeed Eileen. It's really lovely when the flowers hang on - their colours are so cheerful. The upright Fuschia is something different again!
Love your pond and ornaments - it's fun having little whimsies like that in the yard.

  2. I love the Red-bellied Woodpecker, Eileen. There is one outside the window here, an industrious worker but not so colorful.

  7. I find it so hard to see lantana in gardens in USA. It is a noxious weed here in Oz because it takes over the natural flora in our forests and National Parks. It grows huge and fast. We are not allowed to grow it in our gardens.
That huge tree in your yard would make a great Christmas tree.

    1. The lantana here is only an annual, I wish it was a perennial. Thanks for the comment, enjoy your day!

  11. Our neighbor has a few if those very tall trees in their back yard. He is in the process of cutting them down. I don’t think the trees are very healthy in our neighborhood. Another neighbor a year or two ago cut down a dozen of them. Great picture of the woodpecker.

    1. Thanks Linda! We had to have a tall pine next to the house removed, it was too close. On a windy day the branches were hanging on the roof making all kinds of noises.

  12. That tall pine would never stand up to our humidity...it's lovely! Great Lady Bird Johnson quote. (One of my favorite 1st Ladies!)

  14. It usually takes a cold snap to bring out the color in the leaves. Something we haven't had with 80 degrees temps in October.
Glad the woodpecker found the suet. I put some out this week but nobody yet. At least when I was looking. Happy Day.

  38. Wonderful capture of the red-bellied woodpecker! We have a lot of lantana around our yard. I like the look of it, but have to be careful when I trim it. I must be allergic to it because I get red and itchy if it touches my skin, almost like poison oak! Have a nice weekend!
