Welcome to Saturday's Critters !
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
I am sharing some photos of one of my favorite winter birds the Snow Bunting. I was lucky to see these birds at the local North Point State Park in Baltimore County Maryland. We watched them for a bit foraging on the ground, they looked cute once in awhile running quickly across the grass. They eat seeds and insects found on the ground.
These birds breed in the Arctic, northernmost parts of Canada and Greenland.
We saw five Snow Buntings on this day, they have been in this area for a few weeks. Some times as many as 10 or more being seen together.
I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments !
Here is a list of my linky parties;

Hello Eileen! The birds' beak is not sharp and legs are short. Looks cute.
Snow Bunting is a beautiful bird! Lots of birds from around the world are currently wintering here in Bangalore. I am having great fun watching them.

Good Morning Eileen. I'm so pleased to see your Snow Buntings. Great shots. There are a couple in our area at the moment but I haven't seen them yet.
Thanks for the linky today. Stay safe and warm.
Hello Eileen,
Beautiful pictures of these Snow Buntings.
I hope you can place my link, I still can not.
Best regards, Irma
Handsome little Snowbirds . ..
Did they bring some snow?
Lovely Birds.
Beautiful pics.
Happy Weekend.
Sniw Buntings are very attractive little birds and always a joy to see. They seem to be pretty sparse here so far this winter and I have not seen any. I did see a flock of about fifty Common Redpolls recently, however.
Wonderful shots of the Snow Buntings! Now that we have moved back to Florida full time I doubt I will ever see one again.
Dearest Eileen; Snow Buntings are really lovely♡♡♡ The birds I can find mainly perching on the tree branch having nuts. I wish to see them forage or seed insects sometime ;-)
Thank you very much for your comments and hosting.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend, xoxo Miyako*

Incredible Eileen! I have seen them only in books.
They are so pretty! I've never seen them either! Enjoy your weekend!
Love the Snow Buntings! I've never seen any in person.
Wonderful!
I have never seen these birds. Their range extends south to Tennessee so I will have to drive north to look for them. Lots of rain here in Mississippi this morning.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Adorable birds! I have never seen them before.
Loved the one looking at the camera! These are the first ones I've seen, and they must be fun to watch. Have a great weekend!
Lovely birds and happy weekend for you Eileen.
they sure are cute birds and I like the water and rocks they are sitting in and around. I thought of you a few minutes ago, on my walk I heard a racket up in the palm tree, and stopped to watch. it was a daddy red belly woodpecker teaching his little guy to fly... he was wilding yelling at the baby and the baby was louder than the dad
Snow buntings are a big winter bird feature here. They are in flocks of hundreds and out in the fields in all kinds of weather. I don't think they come to feeders here.
I've never seen these guys. They have a nice fluffy look about them, Eileen!
oh they are so pretty and your captures are just beautiful!! it is always fun to watch a bird for a little while and see their habits!! they have gorgeous markings!!
lucky you to see them so close to home!!
Lovely critters.
With the cooler weather, I've been doing more of my hiking with my pups...which scare off the critters before I can point the Nikon...sigh
What a gorgeous bird, we never get them here at all. A real treat to see
Love these magnificent birds, Eileen. So cute!

This is a new bird for me. They are beautiful!
Hello Eileen, they are gorgeous little birds and, against those rocks and the grassy spots are well camouflaged. I bet they're quick little things... you took some great shots. Beautiful scenery too. Cheers and enjoy the week ahead :D)
Very cute bird !
It's the Snow Buntings, fabulous taking. We get them all times the winter, but, I never seen one, wish I could get one.
I never heard or saw them before...they are ADORABLE!!!!...:)JP
birds look so cute.

Another great series of pictures. Cute birds.
I hoped you'd have these guys again this year! A pair was spotted at the beach here in SC but I decided not to spend the $50 it would take me to see ONE species I need...I'm holding out! SO It's good to see them here on your blog.
They sre look like sweet little birds!
Oh, I want to see snow buntings! Great shots.

Hi Eileen!! What cuties those Snow Buntings are! I've never seen them before! I started feeding our birds again, and am not even seeing very many chickadees which are a favorite winter bird for me.
Take care, and I hope you're staying warm! burrrrrr!! :-)
Here they are in flocks of hundreds in the snowy weedy fields.
The snow bunting is beautiful! I think that’s the first one I’ve seen on a blog! Thanks for sharing and, as always, for hosting.
I've never seen a snow bunting either. Look, sweet as they can be!
I have never seen snow buntings before. I will have to keep an eye out. We live north of where the pictures were taken.
