Happy Thankful Thursday!

Happy Thankful Thursday!

I love this pretty blue sky and the puffy white clouds. I am happy to see the trees and leaves turning green again.

I am thankful for the Spring blossoms. Our Redbud tree is looking beautiful this year.

"Spring a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be."

Hubby and I took a walk to the lake this day I found this beautiful male Red-breasted Merganser.

He has a cute "hair-do".

A view of the lake, it was a nice day to outside.  As long as you can stand the pollen.

This looks like a young Double-crested Cormorant. They are a common sight to see at our lake.

"In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks." John Muir

The sunset seen from our yard. I am thankful for the simple things.

I am thankful for  a pretty sunset.

am thankful for all your visits and comments.

  7. Hi Eileen, Lots of great photos and I love those sunset pics. And what a neat quote from John Muir. Thank you for sharing and a happy Thursday to you! PS You are so right about the pollen ... it has been bad at Green Lake too!

  8. Hej Eileen!

  12. Walks around the lake give an opportunity to see many things. However my elderly friend Dorothy says , "Sit in one place and everything will go by you."

  18. That red-breasted merg photo is wonderful. You captured his hairdo perfectly! We have a redbud that looks to be at about the same stage as yours. Just got it a few years ago to replace a dogwood that blew over in a storm. I think it's even prettier than the dogwood.

  19. That stand up hair, what a laugh. And beautiful skies behind that tree, nature provides so much. I, too,am thankful for a heap, a huge heap of things today. specially the builders working on our new bathroom, who clean up, sweep the deck and concrete yard, and vacuum the hall carpet where bits have crept under the drop sheet. Maybe not much to them, but huge to me. Have a wonderful Friday when it arrives up North.

  27. I love the swept 'do on the merganser too! I also love the Redbuds. They're a favorite for me in the spring. I think the color is so beautiful when everything else is just turning green or still "brown-blah!"

**Hope you are doing well Eileen, and that your week ends on a good note - Isn't the weather fabulous? Unless you were on the wrong end of the storm that blew through today.

  31. Wildfires are getting to be so regular I thought for one awful moment that the sunset from your deck was fire. As a sunset it is beautiful, as a fire it would be catastrophic.

  34. Hello Eileen
I'm really mega and mega behind by the two moves of the children and also by an emotional period.
Your photos in your post are great. I love the beautiful middle-sized merganser and you were able to photograph it very nicely. The blossom on the trees is super beautiful and the colors in the sky are fantastic!
    Enjoy your weekend.
    Greetings, Helma
