Happy Thankful Thursday!
I love this pretty blue sky and the puffy white clouds. I am happy to see the trees and leaves turning green again.
I am thankful for the Spring blossoms. Our Redbud tree is looking beautiful this year.
"Spring a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be."
Hubby and I took a walk to the lake this day I found this beautiful male Red-breasted Merganser.
He has a cute "hair-do".
A view of the lake, it was a nice day to outside. As long as you can stand the pollen.

This looks like a young Double-crested Cormorant. They are a common sight to see at our lake.

Wow, you have a picture of the Red-breasted Merganser, so close Eileen.
ReplyDeleteHello Eileen,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images of the sky and your Redbud tree. Lovely birds too.
I wish you a nice day!
Thst sunset is gorgeous! Just love it. And I love redbuds... especially to look close at their bloom. I do think the simple things are life's greatest treasures.
ReplyDeleteThe Merganser is in top class order Eileen. He will have his pick of the females I'm sure. I loved seeing those clear blue skies today. Happy weekend soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, Lots of great photos and I love those sunset pics. And what a neat quote from John Muir. Thank you for sharing and a happy Thursday to you! PS You are so right about the pollen ... it has been bad at Green Lake too!
ReplyDeleteHej Eileen!
Gunilla
Love your birds, your trees, sky and clouds. Have a great day, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteawwww ... I love twilight.
ReplyDeleteThe Red Buds were beautiful here this Spring, too! Lovely sunset, and that is a spectacular 'hair-do' on the Merganser!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thankful Thursday!
Love the merganser and the cormorant. I saw them both here this week.
ReplyDeleteWalks around the lake give an opportunity to see many things. However my elderly friend Dorothy says , "Sit in one place and everything will go by you."
ReplyDeleteFabulous colors in the first picture.
ReplyDeleteLoved the hair do. :)
Preciosos contrastes!! Me encantan las dos primeras fotos Eileen.
ReplyDeleteBuen jueves.
Un abrazo.
Hello Eileen
ReplyDeleteThese are great photos.
The sunset from your garden is really amazing.
Best regards, Irma
i too am thankful for simple things...i don't need a lot to make me very happy!! red bud trees are one of my favorites but i also have a lot of favorites!! everything looks great, you can't beat those deep blue skies, i have missed them!!
ReplyDeletethe merganser is and cutie and that is a beautiful sunset!!!
The merganser ..............he needs a little hair wax!!!! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThat red-breasted merg photo is wonderful. You captured his hairdo perfectly! We have a redbud that looks to be at about the same stage as yours. Just got it a few years ago to replace a dogwood that blew over in a storm. I think it's even prettier than the dogwood.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots all round!
ReplyDeleteThat stand up hair, what a laugh. And beautiful skies behind that tree, nature provides so much. I, too,am thankful for a heap, a huge heap of things today. specially the builders working on our new bathroom, who clean up, sweep the deck and concrete yard, and vacuum the hall carpet where bits have crept under the drop sheet. Maybe not much to them, but huge to me. Have a wonderful Friday when it arrives up North.
ReplyDeleteThat merganser has quite an expressive face. Our redbuds have bloomed and they are always a joy to see. Yours are beautiful. Thanks for linking up today.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful set of photographs and it is lovely to be able to see the sunset from your garden
ReplyDeleteYour ducks look like punk rockers!! I love your sunsets with the redbud underneath.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!
The merganser has quite the hairdo. The lake looks like a lovely place to walk. Beautiful photos and have a lovely evening.
ReplyDeleteGotta love that hair do!! Really beautiful sky shots. Pretty colors in that sky!
ReplyDeleteThe merganser looks like quite a character.
ReplyDeleteSweet serenity....
ReplyDeleteTotally stealing that duck's hair do.
I love the swept 'do on the merganser too! I also love the Redbuds. They're a favorite for me in the spring. I think the color is so beautiful when everything else is just turning green or still "brown-blah!"
ReplyDelete**Hope you are doing well Eileen, and that your week ends on a good note - Isn't the weather fabulous? Unless you were on the wrong end of the storm that blew through today.
I love blue skies!
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
Nice pictures! The merganser made me smile.
ReplyDeleteLovely views...and the Merganser is very nice!
ReplyDeleteHave an enjoyable weekend!
Wildfires are getting to be so regular I thought for one awful moment that the sunset from your deck was fire. As a sunset it is beautiful, as a fire it would be catastrophic.
ReplyDeletenice to be able to catch a glow from your yard
ReplyDeleteMagnificent sky shots! Love the white clouds and splendid colors in the other photos!
ReplyDeleteHappy Day to you,

Hello Eileen
ReplyDeleteI'm really mega and mega behind by the two moves of the children and also by an emotional period.
Your photos in your post are great. I love the beautiful middle-sized merganser and you were able to photograph it very nicely. The blossom on the trees is super beautiful and the colors in the sky are fantastic!
Enjoy your weekend.
Greetings, Helma
Isn't Spring the most beautiful time of year? I love the redbud- just wish it bloomed longer! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies, lovely area and the photos of the Red-breasted Merganser and the Double-crested Cormorant are great. Have a great weekend Eileen :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies, Eileen. Love all the wonderful creatures you got photos of, too. That is quite the hairdo on the Merganser!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful just beautiful.
